Sanya Malhotra knows how to deal with social media

- I grew up watching movies of heroines dancing around a tree. I also want to work in such a film. But I think now such movies become less.

Actress Sanya Malhotra has done a remarkable job in the Hindi film industry since her debut in 2014 with 'Dangal', i.e. in just half a decade. In 'Dangal', the actress, who rose above social constraints and lack of self-confidence and played the role of 'Babita Kumari Fogat', who made a name for herself in the field of wrestling, played important roles in films with excellent plots. And in 'Paglait' earlier this year, he showed his skill and confidence by playing the lead role.

Sanya, however, does not consider him confident. He says I was hesitant about this film. To be honest, I didn't have the confidence to carry the whole film on my shoulders till then. But the film's producer Guneet Monga and director Umesh Bisht trusted me, inspired me to move forward as an artist and that is why my confidence soared and the experience of this film became a turning point in my career. However, I do not hesitate to say that all the credit for what I am today goes to 'Dangal'.

Even today many people ask me if I was worried about the box office success of 'Paglait'. To be honest, I rarely have to worry about that. The only tension I have is whether I played my role properly or not, there is nothing left in my work, right? And box office success is not in my hands. So I rarely worry about it. And when my film succeeds, I am happy to add a new dimension to my career.

Sanya believes that with every film, she is moving forward as an actor. The main reason for this is that I have had the opportunity to work with high profile filmmakers. You can certainly move forward when someone applauds your good work as well as points out your shortcomings.

Yes, I listen to my mind when it comes to choosing movies. As soon as I read the script, if I think this movie is acceptable, I immediately say yes to it. But I don't hesitate to say no to a script I don't like. At the time I didn’t even think I was an outsider in this industry. As far as my experience is concerned your work in Bollywood is appreciated and you get the job following your craft. It doesn't matter if you come from a film family or not.

The actress has taken up dance training. And she wants to work in a film where she gets a chance to dance. He says I grew up watching movies of heroines dancing around a tree. I also want to work in such a film. But I think now such movies become less. Most of the films of today are based on his story.

Many Bollywood actresses are very active on social media. But Sanya is very specific about this. He says that I myself have ensured some limitations in terms of social media. I post exactly what I want. The reactions that many people get on social media have a huge impact. Especially when it comes to negative comments against them. However, as 'the mouth of the village does not bow down', I know how to completely ignore the negative reactions.

Social media is a powerful medium to showcase your talent, to express your thoughts. Yes, it is a mistake to assume that everything in it is true. That's why don't be sad by comparing yourself with all the posts you see on social media.
