Whoever does not do it, even with his mind, is bad, Guru. Jupiter is the beginning of the journey of spirituality.
- Tribute to Amrit - Acharya Vijayarajaratnasuri
Of all the elements, gravity is the main one. Because it is only through his teachings that the devotee gets a proper understanding of benevolent Dharmakarani. What will God be like if the promises of Sadguru are not fulfilled? What is its philosophical form? What is the true nature of religion? What is duty? What is duty A proper understanding of such a matter of self-interest is not available. In this way, being the first and direct beneficent guru in the field of spirituality, he is the chief of all the elements, says the author.
Mahan Jain Shastrakar Umaswati Bhagwant has given the first sutra 'Samyagdarshan Gyancharitrani Mokshamarg' in the first chapter of his very famous book 'Tattvarthasutra' and has clearly stated that Samyagdarshan-Gyan-Charitra is the only true Moksha. Those seekers who want to reach the destination of Moksha must worship these three strictly. Jaindarshan collectively uses these three great qualities as 'gems'. Ratnatrayi.
The funny thing is that there are also three elements that are instrumental in the attainment of this gemstone. Its names are Dev-Guru and Dharma. Of these, Devatattva Samyagdarshan is a strong cause in the attainment of faith, Gravattva is a strong cause in the attainment of Samyagjnana, while Dharmatattva is a strong cause in the attainment of the character of worship. The collective term for these three is Tattvatrayi.
The predominant reason for attaining the path of Moksha and adoration in the form of Ratnatri is Tattvatrayi as mentioned above. Therefore the seeker has the supreme worship of the mind Tattvatrayi. With this in mind, the author of 'Adhyatmakalpadrum' emphasizes on the purity of this Tattvatrayi, i.e. the subject of Deva-Guru-Dharma, in the right in the author's bar. Here, too, they focus on 'special' gravity. There are two reasons for this: 1) From the point of view of the author himself, in all the three elements, gravity is the most beneficial for the seeker. Therefore and 2) Since Jupiter is still in disguise, there may be defects and shortcomings in Emma due to time etc. So let us consider some of the detailed presentations made by the author on gravity.
In the very first stanza of Adhikar in Bar, he makes such an impressive presentation about gravity that as soon as he reads it, he realizes the belief of Jaindarshan about gravity and becomes overwhelmed. He writes these words in the first verse:
'Tattveshu Sarveshu Guru: Pradhanam, Hitarthadharma hi taduktisadhya:'
The implication is that gravity is the prime of all elements. If we compare this famous verse with this classical statement, it will be very similar in both:
Guru Govind Dono Khade, Kisko Lagu Pai,
Balihari Gurudevki, Govind Jine Batay.
Why only in our Indian culture? In foreign cultures, the passion for the Guru is seen to be expressed in different ways. Do you want to realize this? So read this inspiring story of Aristotle and Alexander:
Alexander the Great, the emperor of Greece, set out to conquer one region after another. One morning, Alexander, camped in an unknown region, set out on a trek with his guru Aristotle. Moving on, the two came to a place where they had no choice but to cross the river. The riverbed was narrow, but the depth of the water was unimaginable. Neither of them could swim in the unfinished. What to do ? It was a mess. Suddenly, Alexander began to walk in the river. In one place, caddy-like water also came. Yet boldly he crossed the typical river. From there, he told Aristotle to follow the same path.
Arriving at Hemkhem, Aristotle said: 'Alexander! Why did he do such a blind adventure? What if there was more water and you drowned? ' Sinkdar replied with a smirk. 'Gurudev! If one Alexander had drowned, the other eleven Alexanders could have been created by Aristotle. It doesn't matter. But if an Aristotle had sunk, eleven Alexanders like me could not have created an Aristotle. You can cross the river safely, that's why I took this blind adventure! '
This phenomenon is reflected in the fact that the glory of gravity is of the highest order in foreign culture. Here are a few glimpses of how the Jain tradition is for Sadguru:
- The Guru who makes the journey from Akshar (Barakhadisvarupa) to A-Ksharapada (Mokshapada) is the real-living God on earth.
- In this birth, those who do devotional service to the Guru as God, in the next birth, God Himself is found as the Guru.
But..sabur! The author of 'Adhyatmakalpadrum', after presenting the wonderful Gurumahima mentioned earlier in the preface of the aforesaid verse, immediately says in the second half that 'even after examining the Guru, surrender to him.' This statement seems to be a little shiny for the seeker for the disciple who is to learn the same lesson of surrender. But the heart of the author behind this statement is that an improper-characterless person should not be established as a guru by mistake. If such a person becomes reputed in life as a guru, the result will be self-harm.
In the book 'Sambodhasittari' there is a reference to a Guru like an iron rock. Based on this we can make three types of Guru: 1) Guru like Lohkhand. Just as iron sinks in the sea and sinks its seeker, so does a characterless guru drown himself and his dependent. It takes place in the ranks of the wicked. 2) Jupiter like paper. The paper boat floats in the water but it can't swim to others. Thus the Guru of this level swims with self-adoration. But since the disciple-seeker does not have the power to stabilize in the religion by preaching-healing, the dependent cannot be yours. It takes place in the middle class. 2) Guru like Kash. The Guru of this level becomes the savior of both the self and the self, just as the self floats and takes refuge in it. It ranks among the best. In order for us to get this excellent level of Guru, the statement writer has to test it. And yes, once the Guru is found to be excellent by examination, then every one of these promises-ideas has to be followed with full dedication without any option.
For this, the seeker needs two things in particular: 1) Lack of distinction between Potika and Paraya. When such a distinction between 'this is my guru and a foreign guru' becomes firm in the vision, then the vision becomes frozen that 'one's own guru is the only true one. All other Kugurus' such obsession shines through. Even today, some classes are seen in the society as such-and-such contractors who believe 'their own guru is true' with such inertia. He believes in religion in hiding his real flaws and takes pride in imagining where there is no flaw in others. The author makes a nice statement in the fourth verse to remove such a vision that 'to reach the desired place, the elephant-horse-chariot etc. are one's own or we do not see the stranger, but we need his ability to reach the desired place. Similarly, it is not to see whether the Guru is his own or an outsider, it is to see his ability to do self-welfare.
3) Examination method. If a person's model is effective, then he should not be considered as a Sadguru. The first criterion of Sadguru examination is impeccable character. If a person with a defect in character is a pure protagonist, then he cannot be a good guru. In addition to the immaculate character, depravity-sattvic nature-simple heart-lack of divisive instincts-knowledge-giving-renunciation etc. qualities should also be considered as criteria. If such a Sadguru is found, the upliftment of the seeker becomes inevitable. For such a Sadguru, let us say, 'What one does not do is bad, Guru. The one from which the spiritual journey begins is Jupiter.
