Daisy Shah remembers the fun she had in Norta

It does not happen that any Gujarati does not have attachment towards Garba and Dandiya. Then why is he not a celebrity? Today, Daisy Shah has become a celebrity. Yet his love for Navratri is as intact as ever. Daisy remembers all her Navratri before coming to the acting field. He says that for the last five years I have been busy with one job or another in Norta so I could not play Dandiya or Garba. But before I came into acting, there was not a single Norta in which I did not play Garba-Dandiya.

Daisy recalls the earlier Navratri she had celebrated, saying that before the Navala Norta started, all of us friends would get together and decide what to wear on the ninth day. Usually I prefer to wear a traditional skirt. But I also wore Indo-Western sometimes because I had to wear new clothes for nine days. Of course, my jewelry stays traditional. The Garba-Dandiya competition was held daily in a ground near our house. And I would take part in it. I did my best to win the competition.

Many people like to play Garba, but if they do not know how to play Garba or Dandiya, they feel hesitant to play against others. Daisy tells him that after a little effort you can also play Garba-Dandiya. Even so, owning one is still beyond the reach of the average person. And it doesn't require any skills. It's also like going to food stalls in the Garba plains and enjoying new dishes. We have tasted many dishes after playing Garba for hours.

Giving information about how he learned to play Garba, Daisy says that when I was 10 years old, my mother used to play Garba with me. Just, since then I have learned to play Garba-Dandiya. And you will be surprised to know that once I saw a boy in the pandal and I fell in love with him at first sight. But after that day he never appeared in the pandal. And my love at first sight was limited to just one day.
