Govardhan Puja.

- Worship of Govardhan means worship of nature. Scholars believe that Lord Krishna assumed Girirajaji on the day of Kartak Sud Pratipada. Before he assumed, the Lord wished for Annakut.

In the twenty-sixth chapter of Shri Mad Bhagavatji's Dashamaskandha, the Lord worshiped Girirajaji and assumed Girirajaji. Worship of Govardhan means worship of nature. Scholars believe that Lord Krishna assumed Girirajaji on the day of Kartak Sud Pratipada. Before he assumed, the Lord wished for Annakut. The story is told in Dashamaskandha that it was the day of Diwali and while preparations were being made in Gokul, Lord Krishna asked Lord Nandbava, "What are these preparations going on?" Then Nandbawa said that we do Yajna. The Lord asked, "Why do we perform Yajna?" So Nandabava said, "We do Indra Yajna." So what does Indra give us? So he said that whatever happens is the grace of Indra! By the grace of Indra it rains, from that rain grass grows in Girirajaji, that grass is eaten by cows and therefore cows give us milk. Then Lord Krishna, while preaching Gyan, said, "Rain does not rain on Devaraja Indra, but rain falls according to nature. If you want to worship, worship Girirajaji. Our Ishtadev is Girirajaji and our favorite goddess is Gaimata." Then the people of Vraja asked, "How to worship Girirajaji?" Thus, fifty-six sacrifices were initiated by Lord Krishna.

Then the people of Vraja, according to the words of Lord Krishna, first of all anointed Girirajaji with milk and dedicated all the material of fifty-six victims to Girirajaji. We wish Kartak Sud Pratipada there every day - Deepavali day Annakut. So what was the main purpose of Annakut? So in his answer it is said that 'food' means 'grain' and 'kut' means 'heap.' If we look at the situation somewhere in ancient times and even today, there was a time when there were some people who did not have enough food. He knew Lord Krishna so he made an arrangement through Annakut to provide enough food to the hungry people and no one goes to bed hungry because there is a line that God does not feed anyone hungry.

Thus, this is a beautiful arrangement made by Lord Krishna since ancient times, by which the Lord's offerings reach the smallest man. Thus, after the grain reaches everyone, a complete sattvic diet like milk is available to all. Today, when there is a neighbor next to us and his condition is very bad, when we give him food, Sidhu-stuff, we do not think that I have given this, but we have to think that he and my father Paramatma are one and it is my duty. With that in mind, I do this work.

This occasion also explains to us that faith and doubt are the two things in life. In which doubt always haunts man. Faith always bears fruit. So have faith in any work but do not have superstition. The idea of becoming a worshiper of nature and seeing Lord Vishnu all over the world has been given by Lord Krishna.

Thus, Kartak Sud Pratipada has the special glory of worshiping Govardhana during the day. In the way that Lord Krishna aspired for fifty-six sacrifices, we should deliver as much as we can to whatever material or whatever becomes prasadam. Just like Lord Krishna respects the smallest person, in the same way we also respect such people and express a reverence, only then devotion to Sri Krishna will be considered meaningful, Astu with the same request!
