Importance of Sharad Poonam.

- Let us have the same joy today as Lord Krishna made the gopis experience divine bliss by playing Maharas on the night of Sharadpurnima. Play rasa with each of our saints. Then the Maharaja said, well! We will fulfill your resolve today

There are a total of six seasons in a year. Rain, autumn, fall, winter, spring and summer. This is the distinctive identity and uniqueness of each season. You can enjoy the moonlight in autumn. Aso Sud - When Poonam comes, the moon is fully nailed. Its light feels cool. The sky is clear. The white moon is bright.

The moon is also closest to the earth on this night. This cool-cool light from the moon provides a great deal of nourishment to many types of herbs.

This Sharad Purnima is also called Manekthari Poonam.

On such a colorful festival, people express happiness by offering milk powder.

All remember the Rasalila performed by Lord Krishna on this Sharadpurnima day.

At the time of Chir-Haranalila, when the gopis made a promise to Lord Krishna to take their clothes, Lord Krishna was pleased and Sharadpurnima promised to give the great happiness of Maharashtra.

Sharad Purnima Gopis also left Vraja and came to Vrindavan to enjoy the supernatural happiness of Ras.

In order to fulfill the promise given and to give happiness to the gopis, on the night of Sharad Purnima, Lord Krishna left the tune of the flute flowing on the banks of the Yamuna in such a way that the gopis forgot their consciousness and became engrossed in love.

In the middle of the Rasmandal, Radha was placed beside him and a Gopi and a Krishna assumed various forms of the Lord. Gave the gopis the divine happiness of Maharashtra.

It is also said for this Sharadpurnima that at night Lakshmiji himself wanders in the sky and looking at the human beings on earth, he says, "Aidvya (ndmach)." "Who is awake?"

Whoever wakes up, I will make him rich. The story of Kojagari Purnima comes in the Santkumar-Samhita. Kojagar vows are performed on this day for the attainment of Lakshmi.

A sage named Valkhilya says that there was a Brahmin named Valit in Magadha in the past. He was the son of Cush.

The wife of this learned and virtuous Brahmin was very quarrelsome. Acting contrary to all the commands of his poor Brahmanapati.

She once dumped her husband's father's body in Vista's well instead of in the river Ganga. So the anger of the Brahmin did not go away. Leaving home, he ran to the forest to get Lakshmi. Here he met with girls born in the Kaliya Nag dynasty. These girls made Kojagar vows.

On the full moon night of Aso, the serpent girls made the Brahmin gamble. The Brahmin lost everything except his body in gambling. At the same time Lakshmiji and Vishnu passed by.

The Brahmin did the Kojagar fast unknowingly, so Lakshmi kindly made the form of the Brahmin like Cupid. The serpent girls lost to the Brahmin and got married to Gandharva. Then the Brahmin returned to his home. His wife also welcomed the rich husband and was happy.

This Sharadpurnima has a prominent significance in the Swaminarayan sect.

Even Lord Swaminarayan, when he was on earth in human form, celebrated Sharad Purnima in many places and played rasa with saints and devotees.

The description of the divine happiness that Shri Swaminarayan gave to Jinabhai by playing Rasotsav in Panchala in Samvat 15 is inscribed in all the major scriptures of the sect. Shri Swaminarayan had invited Jinabhai to Panchala in Samvat 15 to celebrate Lord Utsav.

At that time so many saints and devotees came that their descent was arranged by tying grass foliage on the high hill on the west side outside the village towards the top of the Vadna tree.

On the day of Poonam, Shriji Maharaj filled the meeting and sat down. The great saints prayed to the Maharaja that, just as Lord Krishna made the Gopis experience the divine bliss by playing Maharas on the night of Sharadpurnima, let us also have the same joy today. Play rasa with each of our saints.

Then the Maharaja said, well! We will fulfill your resolve today. Where Shri Hari Ras was allowed to play, all the saints and devotees became estranged. Just today! Raag will be played with Dhami of Pragat Purushottam Akshardham.

Today will be Nyal Nyal. Saints and devotees who make such resolutions became mad in love. So the night fell and Sad Shri Brahmananda Swami came to Shriji Maharaj and started saying, Lord! Preparations for playing rasa are complete. Jinabhai has made trambalu, dhol, sharanai, kansa-jodi, kartalo etc.

You come and start playing rasa, Shriji Maharaj sat on the stage prepared by Padhari.

The moon was fully illuminated. The trees were swaying. Even great saints like Muktanandaswamy, Brahmananda Swami, Nishkulananda Swami, Premanandaswamy took kartala in their hands today. The legs wore fringes. The saints who were sitting in the middle of Kundala took various types of instruments like Dukkad, Sarod, Pakhwaj, Sitar, Sharanai, Zanz, Sarangi, Manjira etc. There, as soon as Shreeji signaled, Sant Dandi hit the drum and started playing rasa.

Sad Shri Brahmananda Swami performed the kirtan in the chowk of Sakhi Gokul village. Thawki fell in love with the sound of the drums. Ras Jamyo. Not one or two but seven kundalas of saints were performed. Shreeji Maharaj also got up from the stage and started playing rasa. The joy of the saints did not last. Brahmananda began to sing kirtan describing the occasion,

Chahu Kore Sakhani Mandali Re,

The last albel in the middle of the vertical,

Play ras colorful shades.

Shriji Maharaj also started playing rasa with the saints. Shreeji assumed as many forms as there were saints. Raas started playing with every saint. All the saints saw God playing rasa with them, so the saints fell in love. The pace of the saints' ras also increased. The sound of instruments also began to stop the roar of the cloud. Maharashtra is right.

The divine memory of this Maharas was the wish of Shri Hari like Kandarai in Sauna Antar. So today Sahu was drowned in the ocean of happiness. No one was tired of playing rasa. In the end, Brahmananda Swami completed the rasa by pretending that there was a fire in the descent of the saints. The entire land of Panchala was sanctified by the Maharas played on this Purnima night today.

In order to commemorate all such divine-supernatural rasas, every temple of the Swaminarayan sect has decorations that are ready to play Lord rasas and all the saints-devotees play rasas.

On this day, milk-powder is offered to the Lord in a plate and after playing rasa, all is done by taking this prasad.
