New Mantra of Health: Black is Health


When we imagine the color of food on our plate we never include black food in it. We are also generally advised to eat green vegetables, yellow and red fruits. But no one has yet advised eating black food. But just as black is beautiful in beauty, so is health. Now is the time to say black is health.

What is black food like? Foods that contain pigments called anthocyanins are called black foods. These pigments are rich in antioxidants and have properties to reduce the risk of cancer, heart disease as well as stroke. It also plays an important role in boosting the body's immune system. Such food is excellent in appearance, taste and health.

Nutritionists have recommended some such black foods.

Black rice

When it comes to black food, black rice comes first. Black rice, which is widely grown in Southeast Asia, tastes like dried fruit. In China it was known as banned rice in ancient times. At that time only royal families could use it for food. Now black rice is also grown in North East India. The lutein and zeaxanthin found in it are considered excellent for eye health. It is also high in fiber and antioxidants, which can protect against cancer. In addition to rice, black rice can also be eaten by making pudding, bread, noodles.

Black lentils

Black lentils have been eaten in India for centuries. It is used as a gravy as well as in a mix lentil dish. Black lentils are rich in fiber, iron, folate and protein but are also delicious.

Black olives

Western lifestyle has had both good and bad effects on our diet. Olives i.e. olives can be included in it for good effect. It can be used in many dishes and each dish tastes different. Olives can be added to salads, pickles and drinks. Olives are rich in monounsaturated fats, vitamin E, polyphenols and oleocanthals which have anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties. Olives prevent arterial blockage and are also good for eye health. Not only that, but it also prevents damage to DNA. Olives are considered the best for skin and hair health.

Black sesame

Black sesame has been used in food in India since time immemorial but little is known about its miraculous properties. Rich in fiber, protein, magnesium, potassium, iron, calcium, zinc, copper, selenium and vitamins, sesame in black sesame helps reduce swelling and plays an important role in relieving joint pain. Just one to two teaspoons of black rhythm a day works magic. It can be eaten in salads or pampered as well as made into bread. It is also added to soups. Black sesame can also be fried and eaten as a mask.

Black garlic

Black garlic is not found naturally but it is blackened by a process. This method of eating garlic is prevalent in many Asian countries. White garlic is fermented to make it black.

This garlic can also be eaten fried or fried. It has the property of preventing damage to cells. Black garlic has two and a half times more marks than white garlic. It can be eaten in small amounts.

Black grapes

Hundreds of black grapes are known for their sweetness. This fruit, which is available in certain seasons, has many health benefits. Black grapes contain lutein and zeaxanthin which prevent eye damage. The resveratrol in black grapes is said to have anti-cancer properties. Protects against heart disease due to its properties of lowering LDL levels. Proanthocyanidins in black grapes are also excellent for skin health. Grapes can be eaten alone or by making it as a smoothie or as it is or by dipping it in the curd rice prevalent in India.
