Tapasi reveals the secret of accepting 'Rashmi Rocket'

- Many women players around the world have suffered because of this rule and they have fought at different levels. The film is inspired by all such female players

Tapasi Pannu's latest film 'Rashmi Rocket' is making a splash. And why not Machave? The actress has done the most work of her career for this movie. Of course, the actress's hard work has paid off. Within a week of its release, the movie was viewed by over two million people.

One of the attractions of this film is the salt agar of Kutch shown in it. In fact, Rashmi, who runs at a rocket speed, grew up here. Following this, the potential for development of film industry in Kutch is also being tested. Importantly, Zee5 Media Network has launched a social awareness campaign called '#LetRashmiRun' about the film. And it has garnered over two crore viewers.

However, what Tapasi Pannu's latest films have achieved would make any big star jealous. A wonderful balance of entertainment and social message is seen in his films. Tapasi's films make the audience think.

Tapasi's films are usually the subject of discussion with topics that we are hesitant to talk about.

Whether it's a woman's consent to sex in pink or domestic violence in a slap, Tapasi has consistently focused on topics related to women. The issue of gender testing of female athletes has also been raised in director Aakash Khurana's sports film Rashmi Rocket.

Rashmi Rocket has a similar rule prevalent for women in sports. Tapasi admits that like most people, she did not know how such a rule could ruin women's careers.

Despite having a good knowledge of sports, Tapasi regrets being unaware of this rule. For the first time after Rashmi decided on a rocket, she came to know that the female player participating in the game undergoes some tests in which it is decided whether she is a complete woman or not. As soon as this was reported, Tapasi's curiosity about making a film increased.

The issue of gender testing first became important for Indians in 2014 when Dooti Chand was dropped from the Commonwealth Games. She was disqualified as a female athlete because of her hyperandrogenism. However, Rashmi Rocket is not just about Duti Chand. The rule of gender testing has hampered the careers of many women athletes. Tapasi says that only Duti in our country fought against this rule. But many women players around the world have suffered because of this rule and they have fought at different levels.

The film is inspired by all such female players. According to the director of the film, we only know about the struggles of players of international repute. But today at many levels female athletes have to fall victim to the rules of gender testing. Inspired by the experience of all such women and their struggles, the question of gender testing has been addressed.
