Vijayadashami is a spiritual festival to remove the guilt of the heart and achieve self-victory!

- Vichar-Vithika-Devesh Mehta

- Lord Shriram is Dharmisvarupa. He has appeared to establish religion. He has incarnated to destroy iniquity and the wicked. Lord Rama, the symbol of divinity, truth, knowledge and religion, killed Ravana, the symbol of divinity, untruth, ignorance and iniquity. Where there is religion there is victory (Yatra Dharma Tatra Jai :) the divine element triumphs over the demonic element by justice. This festival is celebrated to give that teaching.

Vs Jayadashami is a spiritual festival of attaining self-realization through Atmodwar. In the path of spirituality, work-anger-greed-lust-madness and jealousy have to achieve self-conquest by killing Shadripu. God is attained only when these disorders are removed from the heart. That is why Lord Shriram says in the Tulsikrit Ramayana. 'Nirmal man jan so mohi pava. Mohi kapat chal chhidra na hi bhav .. Only those whose minds are pure can attain me. I don't like disorders like cheating, cheating, hole. ' In the twenty-seventh verse of the sixth chapter of the Bhagavad Gita called Atma-Samyam Yoga, Lord Krishna says- Upaiti Shantarajasam Brahmabhutamkalmasham. This yogi, who has a very calm mind, calm temperament, sinless, without guilt and has become Brahmarupa, attains excellent happiness. ' Thus self-satisfaction is available only when the mind is unaffected.

Vijayadashami is also celebrated in North India and some other states as a salutation to Lord Rama's victory over Ravana.

Lord Shriram is Dharmisvarupa. It is said in the Rig Veda - 'Satyasya Nava: Sukrutampiparan- The Dharmatma who rides on the boat of Satya crosses the world ocean.'

Vijayadashami Parva is also known as 'Dussehra'. The word Dussehra is a corruption of the Hindi word 'Dussehra'. The day on which Ravana's ten heads were defeated i.e. Hani was destroyed is Dussehra (Dussehra). During this festival, 'Ramlila' is performed on the basis of Ramcharitamanas Granth and on the day of Dussehra, the idol of Ravana is burnt by the character of Lord Shriram and his death is celebrated. The ten heads of Ravana are a symbol of tenfold pride.

Where there is a prevalence of pride, Bhagavad-gita is not attained. That is why Kabir says in one of his Doha- 'Jabalag main tha tab hari nahi, ab hari hai main nahi. Premagali ati sankari ta mein do na samahi .. As long as I was (ego price) there was no God. Now if Hari (God) is in the heart then I am not (ego). The alley of love is very narrow. They can't live together.

There are other occasions in the scriptures showing the glory of Vijayadashami Parva. On the same day, Devraj Indra conquered Vritrasura with a Vajra, an infallible weapon made from the bones of Maharshi Dadhichi. Here, too, it is a matter of destroying the demonic power and conquering the divine power. It was on Vijayadashami that the Pandavas completed their ajnatavas, worshiped Draupadi and re-adopted his weapons. That is why on the day of Vijayadashami, the symbolic weapons of power are worshiped in a scriptural manner. In many places Vijayadashami is worshiped after the weapons are placed in the hollow of the Shami tree in the same way as the Pandavas.
