- Know but unknown: Munindra
- Man sits with his ears open to listen to what his mind likes and does not listen to him instead of listening to what he dislikes.
Sahu is aware of the idea that a chariot with five ferocious, stormy and extremely noisy horses is running and its charioteer is running, bouncing and jumping on the chariot as he pleases. These five horses are our five senses and the rider on them is our mind. This mind runs our senses as it pleases, and the horse-like senses, if it suffocates, become merciless and whip to push it forward. When he gets tired, he squeezes his bridle and pulls it hard, and if the horse falls while running, he forcibly raises it and keeps it running.
What do these senses do? These senses keep the human being running in the prescribed direction. When the senses become enslaved and become tired of trying to satisfy the desires of only one sense, then there is a meteor shower of five senses, which keeps on running, whirling, bouncing, exhausting and provoking human beings. The eye has a prominent form in these senses. The eye has two things. One is reflection and the other is effectiveness. The reflection of what is inside a person falls in his eyes. If lust is burning inside you, it will start flooding your eyes. If you have respect for saints in your heart, then your eyes will be flooded when you see that saint. In this way, a person who is roaring in the deep sea of devotion to God, when he sees Prabhudarshan, a stream of joy flows from his eyes.
The eye gives the most intimate, intimate introduction to a person. It is true that it is a reflection of the inside, but it is also a search for the future. If there is lust in the eye, if the beholder will give up everything else in this world and find only lust. If there is a lust for things in the eye, then the beholder will keep a close eye on the things in this world. And the one who has lust will turn a blind eye to it. If there is spirituality in that eye, then the eye of the beholder will see this world, but in that eye there will be a feeling of indifference towards the material world.
Thus the eye reflects the inner being as well as the outside world seeking nutrients for that reflection and hence the eye reflects the values residing in the heart of the person.
Another function of the eye's senses is influence. Trying to impress the person in front of the person through the eye. The radiance of a great person's eye is spread over a large crowd. The compassion flowing in the eyes of Lord Buddha was spreading everywhere. The brightness of Swami Vivekananda's eyes was appealing to Sahu. There was a dim effect in Osho Rajneesh's eyes. This was always experienced by those who listened to him.
The sense of sight is a person's window and that window opens on both sides. He sees the inside with the eye and also sees the outside world with the eye and that is why the restraint of the eye is a very difficult restraint and the scriptures have repeatedly emphasized it. That Chakshurag awakens, that Chakshurag makes a person expensive. Sage Vishwamitra was fascinated by Maneka and examples of such fascination are found in stories of all religions.
When the same eye touches Param and sees Paramatman, its form is different. It is said in 'Rigveda Samhita': 'He who has eyes and he who is wise, is the one who sees. When a person without knowledge is blind. '
The blind, however, are those who, despite having the sight of the eye, abuse the eye; One who has vision but keeps that vision immersed in lust; Even though he has an eye, he keeps rolling his eyes in vain and vain things. Moreover, the peculiarity of the senses of the eye is that it keeps the person constantly wandering behind its lusts and desires.
Today, if he wants to buy something and buys it from the market, but at the same time he sees something expensive, then he wants to buy something more expensive. In this way the eye becomes the helper and guide in its physical race. The other senses do not become as helpful in the race of lust or covetousness as they are of the sense organs.
The eye is constantly searching for the form. Her search is not limited to the beautiful beauty; But on the road, on the pages of the newspaper or even on the television channel, the eye keeps searching for the same shapely beauties. This is because the eye connects with the shape. It has the charm of shape. Whether in a thing or in a person - everywhere it finds shape. It is very difficult to make the eye that seeks the shape formless.
The tongue senses are interested in taste. The senses are constantly searching for delicious dishes. The taste is very enticing to the person. A person suffers from many diseases due to taste. The taste is constantly stirring. He is sick at home and wants to eat Larry's palms. Troubled by diabetes and want to eat shrikhand, rasgulla or ice cream. There are many ways to satisfy this desire. If there is opposition from the relatives of the house, Chhanimani is enjoying hiding somewhere!
There is an itch or itching of the taste and if a person is a slave to the sense of taste, then the itch is subdued. This hobby of his sometimes gets so angry that he cannot give up the habit of taste not only at the expense of health but also at the expense of life.
The fun of the senses is something else. The human being listens to what his mind likes and does not listen to him instead of listening to what he dislikes. The ear likes to accept from others what a person has said, thought or opinion. The listener of the story will take only what he likes or dislikes from the long story. Some people like music, some people like condemnation. As much as an art lover enjoys listening to music, so much fun a slanderer hears listening to someone's slander.
The fifth sense is touch and this sense is always eager for a soft touch. This touch is also arousing for her. Touch reveals one's relationship with others. Touch has special significance in today's age and touch has its own language. A person will not like thick, rough clothes, but his mind will be attached to silk clothes.
This business of the senses is very big. It is experienced in the present, but it takes a person from the very past to the future, and so a touch of the past excites him for a touch of the future. The lust experienced in the past leads to the lust for the future.
Thus it is difficult to control the senses like five running horses instead of one and in addition these senses sometimes run back to the past, sometimes rush to the future. For this, its charioteer gives freedom of mind. The same Everest-conquest is a challenge for every human being to guide the mind in the right direction and path of the chariot of life with five stormy horses.
The biggest alchemy to meet this challenge is that if we focus on the soul instead of looking at the senses through the window of the mind, then the green of the senses disappears and the vision of the seeker is absorbed in the soul.
