Remedy for removing fungus from woolen cloth

Wool fabrics are more commonly used in winter. Fungus is often found on woolen garments as well as blankets. So special tips have to be adopted for cleaning it.

Use a mild detergent

Use a mild detergent to remove fungus from blankets and woolen garments. Doing so will result in new wear and tear of wool. In addition to this, when cleaning these garments, mixing alum in water also cleans it well.

Rinse with warm water

If blankets as well as woolen garments can be washed with hot water, use hot water only. Also follow the instructions given on their labels. These blankets and woolen garments, which have not been used for a long time, can also be used with vinegar or white vinegar to remove the fungus. Mixing vinegar or white vinegar in water and soaking blankets and woolen garments in it for a while will get rid of fungus and bacteria.

Don't rub anymore

When washing blankets and woolen garments, do not rub them too much and do not use a brush.

Drying in the sun

Blankets as well as old clothes should be washed and dried in the sun to retain moisture.

Keep with silica gel pouch

Carry a pouch of silica gel with you when you put it in the closet and wardrobe so that the fungus does not get fungus on it again.
