The definition of liberal religion is Hindutva

- Every place is my village and everyone is my relative

- Attempts were made to bring equality by amending Hindu law in 18-19

- Thousands of Hindus visit Golden Temple in Amritsar or Dargah Sheriff of Ajmer

- Religions of Sangam Yuga are recorded in Tamil literature as Saivam and Vaishnavam

I was born in Sivagangai district of Tamil Nadu. The district was formerly known as Ramanathapuram. Poet Kanian Pungunranar was born a few kilometers away in my own district which I am proud of. This poet was born in the Sangam era. He was best known for his 18 lines of poetry. This thirteen line poem begins with 'Every place is my village and everyone is my relative'.

The word 'Hindu' was coined by foreigners

The religions of that era are recorded in Tamil literature as Saivam and Vaishnavam. Words like Hindu or Hindutva are not found in ancient Tamil literature. According to Shashi Tharoor, the word Hindu did not have a presence in any language of India until it was given to Indians as a name by foreigners for self-interpretation.

Most Tamils are born into families that follow Hinduism. They worship many gods. Celebrates festivals like Pongal and Diwali. Tamil Hindus have been living with people of other religions such as Christianity and Islam for many centuries. Muslim and Christian scholars and writers have made significant contributions to the development of Tamil literature and language.

What is Hindutva except one sacred religion? From what I have read, heard, compiled and assimilated the answer to what I think is Hindutva can be given in a few paragraphs.

Simple facts

* It cannot be claimed that Hindutva is the only true religion. Swami Vivekananda said, "I am proud to be associated with a religion that provides the world with the knowledge of tolerance and global acceptance. We believe in not just tolerance but every religion. "

* Hindutva does not have a single church, a pope or a religious book. Hindus are free to choose or reject any of these.

* Hinduism in its non-sectarian framework does not believe in a single type of marriage or tradition. Attempts were made to bring equality in the Hindu Law Amendment (18-19) but even today there are many variations.

* Hinduism allows Hindus to worship other gods and saints. Thousands of Hindus visit the Golden Temple in Amritsar or the Dargah Sheriff in Ajmer. Sai Baba of Shirdi was a Muslim and Hindu historians never agreed with him, Sai Baba was probably both because he saw no difference between the two. One of his sentences, Allah Malik, is still popular today.

I do not need to claim Hindutva

Going into the depths of the conflict between the Indian Nations Congress and the Indian National Social Conference, Dr. B. R. In one of his speeches, Ambedkar lamented that political reformers had defeated social reformers and asked a series of questions to Hindus with political ideology. Some of these questions are as follows: You do not allow people to wear the clothes or ornaments they like, but you are eligible for political power, right? Even though people are not allowed to eat their favorite food, are you fit to enjoy the privilege of power? These questions seem to be true even today, but in a different context.

Like Tharoor, "I too was born a Hindu, I was raised that way. I am one of the 51.50 per cent Hindus who said in the PEW survey that they were raised as Hindus and even now they identify themselves as Hindus. I am happy with my Hindutva. I also agree with the simple statement of the poet Kanian Pungunranar that everyone is related to me. Why do I need to claim Hindutva?
