But the one who makes life cultured and plays an important role in helping spiritual progress is called Vidya (knowledge). Both are necessary for the development of human life. Education makes one's external life better. When knowledge to the inner life. Education enhances worldly merit while knowledge makes man cultured and liberal.

Education can make a person a doctor, an engineer, a chartered accountant, etc., but it does not increase the quality. Without the knowledge of gentleness, humility, the emotional level of man becomes low.

Shri Ram Sharma Acharya said that education nourishes the body while sadbhavana nourishes the soul. Education teaches earning and manhood. But knowledge gives us knowledge of renunciation, contentment and the purpose of life. The oblivion stigma of the soul is such that man can be identified with the animal name.
