Bhoomi Pednekar: Powerful in presenting untouchable topics

It has been seven years since actress Bhoomi Pednekar entered the Hindi film industry. During this time he has given films mostly on hot topics. Recently, his 'Badhai Do' was released. And as always, this film on a different subject and his acting was also appreciated.

Bhoomi says that it has been seven years since she came to Bollywood. In all these years, 'Badhai Do' is my 10th film. Importantly, my first film was also released in the month of February. And the shooting of 'Badhai Do' also took place at the location where my first film 'Dum Laga Ke Haisha' was shot. I don't even know where these seven years have passed since such films.

Bhumini's film deals with the LGBTQ community. In this regard, the actress says that she is happy that I have tried to give social messages on one or the other issue in all the films so far. In my opinion, films can play an important role in conveying any issue to the people through entertainment. Movies have a profound effect on people. So it touches on the common man, yet the issues that remain untouched so far can be well covered. 'Badhai Do' deals with issues related to LGBTQ community like gay, lesbian. The important thing is that we have presented this comic without making fun of it. Although it tells the story of a gay (trans male) and a lesbian (trans female), there will be a stage when they will be portrayed as different characters instead of such a couple in the screenplay of such a movie. In my opinion, there is still a lot of work to be done in this field. However, one thing is for sure, if any minor gay or lesbian sees this movie in the cinema, their guilt will be lessened in their minds. Our characters will give them strength to accept themselves.

Bhoomi has so far emerged not only as a powerful artist but also as a powerful woman. I can't sleep at night after learning about any such incident. I have often spoken out against it through my social media handles.

The actress first gained weight for the movie 'Dum Laga Ke Haisha'. Hardly anyone would dare to do so. She played the role of an old woman in 'Sand Ki Ankh'. He played such a role at such a young age when even the actresses who are on the verge of puberty are not willing to play the role of an old woman. And now the lesbian. So it happens to us that he does not hesitate to play such roles? In response, Bhumi says no, not at all. Even in real life I see man as man. A lot of my friends are from LGBTQ com, and that too since college. In fact, it seems to me that I now truly represent them.

Bhoomi has been in the industry ever since she started working with Salman and Shah Rukh Khan. But his wish has not come true yet. But he did not give up hope. "I hope I get a chance to work with them someday," he says. And who doesn't want to work with artists who are crazy about the whole country?
