The war is raging between Russia and Ukraine. As the fighting intensifies, there are growing fears that more lethal weapons will be used. According to the Ukrainian ambassador, Russia has used vacuum bombs, also known as thermobaric bombs or thermobaric rockets, in its invasion of the country. This is not an atomic bomb or a hydrogen bomb. It is not even a conventional chemical bomb. But the bomb is just as powerful. Since his technology is not nuclear, there is no rock against his experiment.
Conventional bombs use a chemical called 'TNT', which is abbreviated as 'TNT', as an explosive. Atomic bombs use uranium or plutonium as well as hydrogen as explosives. Explosions in conventional bombs are attributed to chemical processes. In atomic bombs, known as atomic bombs, the atoms of uranium or plutonium atoms are due to fission. While in the bomb known as hydrogen bomb the hydrogen atom is due to the fusion of the nuclei. The scientific name of the atomic bomb is 'Nuclear Bomb' meaning 'Fish Bomb' and the real name of the Hydrogen Bomb is 'Thermo Nuclear Bomb' meaning 'Fusion Bomb'.
Conventional chemical bombs contain a mixture of oxidizers with fuel. The TNT in the bomb explodes as it undergoes a chemical reaction. But thermoperic bombs do not contain oxidizers. It contains almost 100% fuel. These bombs take from the atmosphere the oxygen needed for chemical processing. These bombs generate significantly more energy than conventional explosives of the same weight.
Russia first used the bomb on September 11, 2006. America has also used this bomb. The word thermobaric comes from the Greek word, 'thermos' meaning heat or 'heat' and 'baros' meaning 'pressure'. In practice, a thermobaric weapon is a weapon that explodes high-temperature using the effects of temperature and pressure on a target. The process in a thermobaric bomb takes place in two stages. In the first stage a cloud is formed which is formed by a cloud powder or liquid chemical. In the second stage a second process takes place.
Although the shock waves caused by these bombs are not as strong as those of conventional explosions, they can cause more damage because the shock waves generated by the explosion of these bombs last longer. Also, as we move away, its intensity decreases but it decreases very slowly.
In addition, after the explosion in the second phase, a partial vacuum is created in some area. The surrounding air is absorbed through it. Oxygen is drawn through the vacuum as well as the chemical process in the area covered by it. And that's why people in that area feel suffocated. Survivors of an explosion that occurred in the early stages die of suffocation.
These bombs can call for the elimination of soldiers hiding in strong bunkers, even clearing non-strong buildings, walls and basements cannot provide a shield against these bombs. These bombs are very effective in killing the people hiding in the cave. If only oxygen is absorbed from the cave, if the air inside the cave burns, then the inside of the cave is destroyed inside. If this vacuum bomb is too powerful, the cave may collapse. Earlier, the US used the cave as 'cave busters' in the war in Afghanistan. Such thermobaric scriptures are likely to be possessed not only by countries like Russia, America, China but also by certain groups of terrorists.
When the bomb was first tested, it was dropped from a TU-130 bomber. When it was 20 feet above the ground, the cylinders filled with flammable chemicals in it were tweaked and the cylinders broke and opened. Their inflammatory chemicals quickly spread out into the air and formed a cloud. The cloud began to spread rapidly. The clouds evaporated the flammable chemicals and the air. This mixture is highly flammable. It explodes and explodes. Its shock waves propagate faster than three kilometers of supersonic sound per second. This can lead to severe erosion. Strong shock waves and extremely high temperatures cause food poisoning. The Russian bomb had a capacity of 6 metric tons of TNT chemical bombs.
Even if the explosion does not occur and only the cloud of flammable chemicals is spread, it is also highly toxic and causes death, severe burns. It is a pressure wave that kills by suffocation. Those who are at the site of the explosion (ignition point) are cleared and those who are a short distance away are more likely to have multiple internal injuries, including rupture of the eardrum and damage to the organs inside the ear, rupture of the lungs and blindness.
In the current war between Russia and Ukraine, Russia is likely to use a multiple rocket launcher called TOS-1 Buratino, one of the most terrifying weapons in Russia's arsenal, to drop this vacuum bomb, also known as a thermobaric rocket.
