(Note: In our classrooms, when we teach history, we teach only war or war! The subject of war is also popular in literature. Look at any story. Violence, war and its impact on human life are prominent in it. Short story great Author O. Henry says that those who have not experienced poverty, love and war have not really enjoyed life. Russia is currently fighting the Ukraine war. A contagious disease. The history of Europe is full of wars. The present story is about the Prussian-Prussian war. Many of his stories are based on his own experience, the futility of the war and the plight of ordinary people. In this war between France and Prussia, France is defeated. According to the Lexicon, a bilt is a military command to provide food and lodging to soldiers. Here is a story written about the plight of ordinary citizens of a country lost in war.)

"I can tell you a terrifying story about the Franco-Prussian war," Monsieur de Andolien told some of his friends as they gathered in the smoking room of Baron de Rawat's bungalow.

'You all know that my house is in Fauborg de Carmel. I lived there when the Prussian invasion took place and there was a mad woman in my neighborhood. The unfortunate events unfolded one after another in her life and she went insane. Her father, her husband, and her newborn baby all died when she was seventy-seven, all in one month.

Once death has broken into the house, it is certain that it will come back again and again, as if it has now come to know that it is a trick to break into your house. On top of the mountain of sorrow that had fallen and for six weeks she remained bedridden, Lavari climbed, she was in a state of epilepsy. After going through such a state of agitation, quiet laziness, remorse and despair took possession of the woman and then she began to lie down in bed without eating any food, only rolling her eyes from here. Whenever her caregivers tried to sit her down, she would immediately scream and shout that they had come to kill her. And then the caregivers let the whole thing fall apart and let him lie in bed constantly. They only need to get her out of bed when she needs to be hugged or changed sheets or mattress upside down.

An old servant stayed with her, giving her occasional cold drinks to eat or drink. What are the thoughts coming into the discouraged mind of that woman? Nobody knew because now she didn't say anything. Her own people who are dead today, was she thinking about it? Did she not remember clearly what had happened in her life, and why she was having nightmares? Or was it that her memory was bound like stagnant water with no flow? Whatever it was, for fifteen years she lay in bed in a state of solitude and inactivity.

'War broke out and German troops entered Cormel in early December. I remember it all, as if it were yesterday. It was so cold that even a stone was torn in two, and I myself was reclining in my armchair in my house. They were also seen passing by.

They were marching in a line, hanging, like a puppet hanging on a wire. Military officials then ordered its soldiers to break into the homes of the locals and arrange for them to stay and eat. Seventeen people came to my house. My neighbor, there were dozens in the house of that mad woman, one of whom was a commandant, who was rude, extremely arrogant, like that and certainly an officer of the violent and boastful gangster type.

"Everything went well for the first few days. Officers living in my neighborhood were told that the woman was ill and so they did not bother to find out about the woman but after many days they did not see the woman so they became embarrassed, they became irritated. They asked what kind of illness she had, and they got the answer that the woman had been bedridden for the last fifteen years and that it was because of the terrible pain that had befallen her. Of course they did not accept this revelation. They undoubtedly thought that this woman did not get out of bed because she was proud of her country and that the enemy did not want to approach the Prussians, did not want to talk to them, did not even want to see their faces.

The commandant insisted that the housewife come in person and welcome him. Welcome them. (In the next issue)
