An island group called St. Mary's Island is known in Bharatna Karnataka. Among the four islands, there are a number of black stone pillars similar to the wonders created by Kurdt on Coconut Island. The 500 meter long and 100 meter wide hexagonal shaped island is made of lava formed by volcanic processes millions of years ago. This place is called Geo Tourism.

The formation of five, six or seven sided vertical columns of regular shape on the island looks like a wonder. The tallest pillar is 20 feet tall. These are made of igneous rock. Many scientific researches have been done about this island. It is an important research site for geologists. The island is served from the port of Malpi in Karnataka. There is also a mythological temple called Vadabhandeshwar temple worth visiting.
