Will the smart cheetahs of Namibia survive in India?

Endangered species of animals are a major challenge in the environment. Will our children be able to spot Child Life live in the years to come? Cheetahs existed in India till 1947 but due to the increase in poaching, they became extinct. They were declared extinct in 1953. Then the political struggle to bring cheetahs from Africa and Iran started. During the era of Akbar, there were 9000 cheetahs in the country. Jahangir made him a pet and made him roam the streets. India is now repopulating the cheetah.

8 cheetahs from Namibia in South Africa were brought to Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh, India. Now whether this new environment will suit them or not is a matter of debate.

These cheetahs hide and hunt in the dhasia forests or savannah forests of South Africa. A similar environment has to be provided to the cheetah in Kuno Park. Also, thousands of animals are available for hunting around the cheetah in the forests of Namibia. They hunt zebra, wild buffalo etc.

They can only run 1 minute fast (90 to 120) to hunt but then stop as their blood gets too warm. These cheetahs brought to India are initially given meat. Then the area will be increased and animals such as chitals, deers etc. will be given.

The existence of the cheetah will be threatened here in two ways. The first leopard could hunt these cheetahs. Feral dogs are also a concern for cheetahs.

There are about 7000 cheetahs in Namibia that enjoy eating and drinking. We also have to arrange meals around them in a big way, for which we need a special big budget of 300 crores.

If you want to see a rich variety of cheetahs, go to the East Serengeti in Africa. You can see 125 varieties of cheetah in one and a half months. Go for 10-12 days of spotting and you will see 25-30 types of cheetahs. There will be large numbers of small deer, wild buffaloes, zebras around the cheetahs.

In India too, the number of cheetahs will increase and people's love for the environment will increase. Wait a bit or walk to Girnar for lion sighting and visit Ranthambore for tiger sighting. Also list Jim Corbett.
