Microbial bacteria are unique among organisms on Earth. Single-celled bacteria live everywhere on Earth. From the deep sea to land and also lives in the bodies of other organisms. Bacteria cause disease and some are beneficial. TB, Typhoid, Cholera Some of the bacteria in the intestines help in digestion of food. A scientist named Robert Koch, who was born in Germany, discovered that when a person gets some disease, there is a special type of bacteria in his body. He identified bacteria other than TB and cholera. Today bacteriology has become a separate branch of science. Robert Koch was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1905 for this discovery.
Robert Koch was born on December 11, 1843 in a city in Germany. He did his higher studies at Göttingen University. He invented the microscope in 1879 AD for the study of various diseases. and joined Hackberg's hospital to do research. Koch conducted in-depth research on cholera in Egypt and India. He was the head of the research commission about the disease. He also became the Chief Health Officer in Bern to conduct research. He also discovered a way to grow bacteria in the laboratory. His research on TB is considered important. Koch's contribution made the treatment of acute TB possible. He died on 28 May 1910.
