Udaye Sarvita Rakta:
Bleeding and
Sampattau cha vipattau cha mahatam ekrupata..
(The sun is red when it rises, and when it sets, it is also red in the evening. This shows that great men assume the same form in times of prosperity in wealth and in times of adversity)
By showing a single quality of this equanimity of the sun god, the poet shows how important the quality of equanimity is in happiness and sorrow. This is what Shri Krishna preaches in his own words in the Gita. Sukhdunkhe Same Kritva.. e., so even our Gujarati poet easily says 'never escape in happiness, never lose heart in sorrow' e. But that is Sikhism.
It is a great virtue for a man to maintain an even equanimity on auspicious occasions, but there is another aspect to it. In the world, man should look at all other human beings and animals except himself with the same value, with the same eyes, with equality. Disagreement should not be viewed with partiality or unequal value. The poet who wants the welfare of all and asks God as a part of it asks that all people in the world should be given the virtue of being 'equal to all'. Thus two aspects of the same quality of equality have become: one of one's own personality and the other is to have equanimity and equal treatment towards all.
This one quality of equanimity of Sun God is so great and benevolent, then what to say about his other qualities and powers? In ancient times, cold and darkness protected man, hence its limited use. But in course of time new uses and new discoveries of science began to appear, which gave man new powers and tricks; Also new machines and new processes were invented.
A unique use of sun rays for the treatment of diseases was seen in Jamnagar in 1936. There was a building called 'Solarium'. The treatment rooms were fitted with glass panels of different lengths, thicknesses, surfaces and colors up to five feet on one side. The upper floors of the English 'T' shaped building had treatment rooms in a row in the upper wing of the building. The entire upper floor was supported on a large room on the ground floor below it. This upper floor could be rotated according to the direction of the sun. And the glass panels of each room could also be rotated so that the sun's rays fell on the patient sleeping under the glass panels. Radiation treatment is given under the supervision of a doctor for as long as needed. A fair number of patients used to come in those days. The only other solarium like this in Russia was in Moscow. Jamnagar was closed years ago. It was said to be very effective and useful.
Apart from this, various uses of the energy obtained from the sun are being discovered nowadays. A large amount of electricity is obtained from the energy of the sun. For this relatively small production, solar rays are obtained by placing special panels in private houses or in the balconies of large buildings of institutions. In addition to the cost-free electricity, excess electricity can be sold to companies. The Gujarat government has also built a huge 'solar farm' in the desert of Kutch, from which electricity can be used commercially. Apart from this, many uses of electricity obtained from sun rays are being discovered. A large amount of electricity thus solar electricity itself is an energy. Which can be used for many private as well as business purposes. Such a useful tool we can get from solar energy free of cost. Therefore, research to increase its production and use will also continue.
The sun is the origin of the solar system; And it keeps all its planets and satellites in orderly rotation around it by the principle of gravity, and also provides the necessary energy for their existence. It is only fair that he has received the title of deity for his great divine qualities. India has ancient sun temples with beautiful craftsmanship. Brahmins especially worship the sun god daily. His important 'Gayatri Mantra' is composed by Vishwamitra in praise of the Sun.
