- 'According to Sir Graphology the applicant is an adulterer, an addict, a liar and a cheater. He is not to be trusted at all.'
De Varaj means... Devaraj Kashyap... d. K. The owner of the enterprise. A young owner of a Gujarati company with a turnover of 500 million dollars a year. He had a customer care business for domestic and foreign companies. One day a person reached the office to meet Devraj, the young and successful owner of such a large empire.
An office is like a palatial palace. A corporate office with all modern amenities and furnishings. As you enter inside the huge iron gate, the road is lined with floral decorations and a large garden. A little further from there is the road to the parking lot on the left and the entrance to the building on the right. Outside the two huge glass doors, an iron security system was installed. Everyone's appointment is fixed in advance. This person who suddenly came into such a bustling office introduced himself at the door and talked about going to see Devraj. The doorman called the reception inside and asked about the appointment and the answer came 'no'.
The doorman politely said, "Uncle, if you don't have an appointment, then sir, you will not be able to meet."
The visitor very politely said, 'Brother, you simply call and tell that Vasudev Kashyap has come. He will ask to call me immediately.'
The doorman was a bit embarrassed but called the reception again and asked for Vasudev Kashyap's name, but the answer was 'no'. The doorman told him the answer.
Vasudev walked a little further from there with a slightly disappointed face but came back again as if something had occurred to him and looked at the janitor and said,
'Brother, if you don't mind, I will sit here. I know that after lunch Devraj comes to the street opposite to smoke a cigarette. I will meet him today when he comes out.'
'Uncle, if you want to sit, sit, but sir, I do not give any guarantee that you will get it. He will have a security guard with him who won't let you near him.' - warned the doorman.
'Nevertheless brother, let me try, otherwise I will leave. We have been pushing for the last five years," Vasudev said to the janitor, sighing.
Almost three hours passed like this and the lunch break came. The janitor kept going inside and Vasudeva was sitting outside. He wanted to go inside, but he made up his mind and went to the front of the high-class pan and stood there. As usual, a car stopped there. As Devaraj alighted from it and was about to enter the Galla, Vasudeva spoke,
'Son, I can talk for two minutes.'
The words and the voice sounded somewhat familiar so Devaraj stopped slightly and turned his gaze in the direction of the voice. He recognized but went inside without answering. Vasudev went after him but was stopped by the security. Before Vasudev could say anything, the guards stopped him.
Devraj was watching all this from inside. It occurred to him that Salu got trapped today. Doshla must be talked to. He beckoned me to the guard and asked him to let Vasudeva in.
As soon as Vasudev entered, Devraj said, look uncle, I have only five minutes of time. Let this cigarette address say what it has to say by then.
Vasudev ate gum and said, 'I want to talk only that my son Divyaraj has become an IT engineer. See if there is any vacancy in your company. This is his resume and application', saying so, Vasudev held the cover in Devraj's hand.
If the job is vacant... Hearing this, Devraj said, 'You people have nothing else to do. If the job is vacant, say, I want to keep this one, if this happens, see how many people I believe. If you want to go now, I will tell you.'
Poor Vasudeva left the Galla with a disappointed face. Devraj was a bit more angry and tore the cover given by Vasudev and threw it in the dustbin.
'Son, I stayed with you until your father's pyre burned down, and I was with you even though I had no time. May be, then were my days and today are yours.' - Vasudeva shot a literal arrow on the back of Devraj who was preparing to get into the chariot.
Devaraj stopped slightly after hearing these sentences and got into the car with a bewildered face and expression of disgust.
Devraj came straight to the office and went to his cabin. He called his PA and asked him to send Pune inside. Peon came and stood with dignity. Devaraj ordered to bring here whatever scraps of paper were lying in the dustbin of the opposite galla. Peon was a little surprised, but anxious to save his job, he just obeyed the order and left. After a few minutes he returned but his face was sad. Seeing the peon sad, Devaraj got even more angry and said,
'What's staring at me? Did you bring the pieces of cover I asked you to bring?'
The peon opened the bag in his hand and piled a piece of paper on Devraj's table.
Despair spread across Devraj's face but there was nothing he could do. Laman gestured to the peon to leave and looked at the stack of papers. As soon as he closed his eyes, he remembered the situation fifteen years ago.
Fifteen years ago, Devraj's father and Vasudev's cousin Dhananjay Kashyap committed suicide. Dhananjaya Kashyap jumped to his death from the roof of his own Dhananjaya Tower after being overwhelmed by the debt of a foreign company. This incident shook the Kashyap Empire. Only three people were present at the funeral. Devraj, Vasudev and the crematorium worker preparing the pyre. At that time Vasudev helped Devraj to set up by dropping all his work and canceling plans. It was Vasudev who sent Devraj to study abroad with his own money and provided the energy, passion and funds to restart his father's company.
The corners of Devraj's eyes darkened. He canceled all the plans, meetings and started joining the torn pieces of paper. After about four hours of work, he was able to join the pieces of paper correctly. This application did not seem to work, so he took a new pen and paper, looked through it, wrote the application and called his PA and gave it. Along with this, he suggested that this candidate should also be called in the examination for our new employee.
Almost a month has passed since this incident. Examinations were also held and new employees were recruited. Devraj went out for a walk in the office corridor one day and saw Vasudev Kaka standing outside the glass. He immediately sent a peon and summoned them.
Going to his cabin, Devraj started talking...
'Uncle, why did you come?'
'Divyaraj got a job or not? It is not visible here. Arranged in my other office or what?'
Vasudev said slowly, son, if I had got a job, I would have come to your office empty-handed like this.
Devraj was surprised as he heard from the PA that Divyaraj had topped the exam and was also asked to be selected immediately.
Devraj rang the bell and his PA entered. PA comes in and Devraj stares,
'I wrote the application in my hand and gave it to you and said, if you call a candidate named Divyaraj and see to it that he gets recruited, then why didn't that candidate get the job?'
'Due to company policy sir...' said the PA calmly.
'What kind of policy...?', Devraj's voice got a little louder.
'Sir, you said to show the applications of the top five candidates to our graphologist and only then hire him...'
'So what does graphology say?'
'According to Sir Graphology the applicant is adulterer, addict, liar and cheater. It is not to be trusted at all.
Our graphologist advised not to take this person. Because of that we chose another candidate.'
Answering P.A. Quietly stood and till now the cabin of Devaraj remained silent...
