An actor's work is half done if the script is good: Abhishek Bachchan

However, on Navya Naveli's (Amitabh's daughter's daughter) podcast, Shweta Bachchan said, 'I get really angry when Abhishek is compared to his parents.'

Abhishek never shies away from expressing his love and appreciation for his Ambar-like wife Aishwarya. In an interview, Abhishek spoke about the difference between art and commercial acting. According to Abhishek, an artist like Aishwarya can do both types of acting. He said, 'Vankadekhas tend to bring down commercial acting, but doing mainstream films also requires a lot of skill.'

Abhishek Bachchan says, 'Many of my peers have managed to strike a balance between professional and realistic acting. This work is not easy. We don't give enough respect to commercial actors in mainstream films, but remember that what they do is very difficult. No one dares to do what Rajinikanth does. It is not possible. That is why we have only one Rajinikanth in our country. Aamir Khan, Kamal Haasan, Mara Father, Shah Rukh Khan and many others have struck a balance between both mainstream acting and realistic acting.'

Abhishek's web series 'Breath: Into the Shadows' streamed a few months ago. This is the second time that Abhishek has repeated his character. Earlier in the films of 'Dhoom' series, he has repeated the character of supercop Jai Dixit. Admitting that the characters of 'Breedh' and 'Dhoom' are similar, Abhishek says, 'I didn't have Jai Dixit in mind while playing the character of 'Breedh'. Yes, both the characters have the same attitude. However, in 'Breathe: Into the Shadows' I played two different aspects of the same character. The character gets a real op from the screenplay. If the writing is good, the artist's work is half done.'

Abhishek believes that in order to make a psychological thriller, the screenplay must first have breath. Abhishek believes that the writers have worked well for the 'Breath' series and every character in the show is complex. The series, however, has received mixed reviews.
