Breathing but constantly dying - remember?

A sea in the eye - remember?

Dreaming and then floating in it - remember?

Even the scene of remembrance became like a picture of fun,

Remember those gliding in the blue sky?

Of words dissolved in utter stillness,

What is the meaning of this Nayan - remember?

In memory of those moments watching the dew on the leaf,

Tears falling all over the place - remember?

In the silence of a stunned and silent moment,

Breathing but constantly dying - remember?

- Ramesh Patel 'Ksh'

This is both a solution and an antidote. People who are unhappy with the present try to overturn the car of life by remembering the glory of their past. What those were the days! Before it was like this, before it was like that. Where is that now? It's not fun like before. Saying this makes the present a punishment. The enchanting dream of fun takes care not to catch the eye and the needle of punishment constantly pricks itself. In such cases the past is often invoked to reassure the present. The husband tells the wife that you do not know how to make roti like my mother, dal is only my mother. The vegetable made of it means let the matter go. This happens frequently and the wife also feels sick. It is a good thing if we remember the small pleasures of the past and be happy in the present, but if we blame the present because of it, the fun in living life begins to fade. Then it sets and the sun of joy never rises. Poetry is beyond present, past and future. A poem written a hundred years ago can bring as much joy to the present as it did to the writer or listener a hundred years ago. This is a lot of art. Great creation is never past, it is always present. The love between two personalities is equally eternal. The significance of love lies in lighting up the heart by remembering it instead of being sad by remembering it. A beautiful share of Urdu Shayra Shabina Adib should not be missed.

Wo bewafa ho gaya hai phir bhi usi ki yaado mein goom rahoongi,

Ye kaise bhunlun ki usne muj se wafa bhi ki hai jafa se pahale.

Remembrance is the root of poetry. Poems are often reminiscences of past happiness or sorrow. Many times happiness is found in the present by remembering the pains of the past! There is also pride, that how much suffered in the past! The phenomenon of two love characters lovingly remembering each other after parting is unique. Be it separation or union, whether the memory brings pain or joy, whether it brings a smile to the face or a mist of tears, whatever it is, the memory of love is a lonely experience. As Mirambai says, Premni Premni Premni Re Mane Vagi Katari Premni Re. Only those who have been stabbed by love can know.

Ramesh Parekh has written, 'The memory of giving flowers to you like the gently sloping hills' The incident of giving flowers to Sonal inspired Gujarati poetry. The same poet has also written, I remember you in my eyes early morning and the dark night, do you remember the dark night?' Surat's poet Nayan Desai has written a beautiful ghazal of long meters. Kalapi's ghazal 'Jan jan najar mari tere fil list te aapni' is the Gurushikhar of Gujarati ghazals. Thus many songs, ghazals, poems have been written on memory, a whole book can be written on it. Here Ramesh Patel 'Ksh' has sung a ghazal in a natural way reminiscing about the past to a loved one. Let the two lovers meet after a long time and recall the past and revive the joys of the heart, relive the days that have been lived for two hours in the forest of the mind. Let the roaring sea fill the eyes again, swim afresh in the old dream. The flower of the visit has blossomed with art and the dew of tears has also fallen on it! Finally, when the event of release is fresh in front of the eyes, it seems to be already dead even though it is breathing. A few verses of a song written by Tejas Dave on this same situation are also to be seen.

The charms hanging on the eyelids, the charms

Remember I was also a part?

Crowd of years no thief like our a

Days of theft escaped

We stand facing the road

Life passed in between

The day dawned and then they ran into the sun

Remember Finding the Shades?
