Amidst all this, actress Avika Gor, who started her career as a child actor with 'Balika Vadhoo', is also caught in a controversy.

Avika Gor reminiscing says, 'When I did the TV serial 'Sasural Simran Ka' I was paired with Manish Raisinghan, who was 18 years older than me. All the team members and writers were clear that no romantic or awkward scenes would be written or acted. Whatever happens will happen within limits. I didn't want to get physically close to Manishji in any of my scenes. The fact that I am only 14 years old was kept in mind.'

However, Avika and the producers of the show were criticized for this casting. Avika Gore adds, 'Age becomes a concern when the scenes start looking vulgar and harmful to the child. There was all sorts of talk about our pairing, but the writers and I had only one answer that no physical intimacy was shown in any of the scenes.'

If the heroine is an adult then this kind of discussion becomes irrelevant. As Avika says, Vidya Balan is much younger than Amitabh Bachchan, but she became Amitabh's mother in the film 'Pa'.
