Yoga achievements of the great Yogi Bhupatinath Mukhopadhyay of Bengal

- Bhupatinath sat down on Padmasana and suddenly divine light like lightning came out of the body of Sri Ramakrishna Dev Paramahansa and entered Bhupatinath's body.

Bhupatinath Mukhopadhyay, one of the great yogis of Bharata, received his knowledge of yoga and training in its processes from great Siddhahasta yogis like Ramakrishna Paramahansa, Tailanga Swami and Bhaskarananda Swami. From childhood he was blessed with Brahmatej. While studying at Vidyasagar College, Pandit Ishwarchandra went in search of a suitable guru to attain true philosophy. At that time he came to meet Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansa whose fame was spreading all over Bengal.

Seeing Bhupatinath, Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansa fell into trance. After some time when his samadhi broke, he began to sing a song in Hindi - 'Ram ko jo nahi chinha hai, dil chinha hai, so kya re' aur jaana hai, so kya re, sant wahi jo ram ras chakhe aur sakharas chakhe, so Where! Putra wahi jo ful ko tare aur jo sab putra hai, so kya re.''

Paramahansaji's darshan proved to be a boon for Bhupatinath. He began to come to him frequently for philosophical reasons. Once Bhupatinath went to meet him. He sang a prayer song. Hearing that, Paramhansa went down in such a trance. As soon as Bhupatinath touched his feet, Brahmajnana was incarnated in him and his mind began to experience transcendental bliss. He remained in this condition for three consecutive days. When he went to listen to the discourses of scholars held in the Brahmo Samaj, he kept seeing Ramakrishna Paramahansa in all of them.

On the third day Bhupatinath was going home after bathing in the Ganges, an invisible power from Ramakrishna Paramahansa stood in front of him and started saying - 'I want to absorb you inside me.' Bhupatinath said - not now. After passing away. Hearing this, that Shakti placed his trident on Bhupatinath's head. At the same time, I felt as if electricity had run from my feet to my head. It was felt that the Kundalini energy in the Mooladhara Chakra was awakened, moved upward, penetrated the Sixth Chakra and met the Sadashiva of the Sahasrara Chakra. Everything began to look divine to him. Then that Shakti said to Bhupatinath - 'Now you reach your Guru. Your Guru is - Sri Ramakrishna Dev Paramahansa.

Then after going home and having his meal, he immediately came to his guru Ramakrishna Paramahansa and told about the incident that had happened. Ramakrishna Paramahansa said - 'Praise Shiva quickly? Bhupatinath sat on Padmasan and started praising Lord Shiva. Suddenly a divine light like lightning emanated from the body of Sri Ramakrishna Dev Paramahansa and entered the body of Bhupatinath. In this way Bhupatinath realized that he had become Harihara after the Guru became Shaktipat. After some time Sri Ramakrishna Dev granted him Hanseswara Mukti.

Shortly after that, Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansa committed suicide. He then began to receive yoga instruction from Ramakrishna's disciple Nitya Gopal. One night he fell into a trance. Then it happened that he lost his manhood. His health began to deteriorate. He began to feel that he was standing at the door of death. The people of the house became very worried. During that period, one day he had a vision of Tailang Swami and attracted him to come to him. Bhupatinath heard about the greatness of Tailang Swami from Ramakrishna Paramahansa and Nityagopal. He immediately reached Kashi. Seeing his condition, Tailang Swami told him - 'You are doing the yogic process wrongly and that is why you are in this state. Then he taught them the correct procedure. Bhupatinath started doing the yoga process as told by Tailang Swami. In a short time his manhood returned and his health, which had been very bad, began to improve and conditions returned to normal. He got knowledge of many unknown aspects of Yoga from Tailang Swami.

A few days later, Bhupatinath was greatly distressed to learn that Tailang Swami had abdicated and entered the Paramdham. He said that my yoga sadhana will remain incomplete or what? At that time Nityagopal said - 'There is another yogi living in Kashi who is considered equal to Tailang Swami. He is Swami Bhaskarananda. You meet them and talk about your situation. At present there is no Siddha Yogi like him in the whole of India. It will complete your incomplete Yoga Sadhana.

Yogi Bhupatinath came to Kashi and went to meet Swami Bhaskaranandji at a residence in Durga Kund. Swamiji completed his incomplete Sadhana and made him a Siddha Yogi too. Pleased with Bhupatinath's sadhana, God also gave him a real vision. Bhupatinathji's yogic achievement was so great that whoever he blessed would immediately enter samadhi. In the state of trance, he would have seen God or realized the supreme essence!

There is an occasion when Yogi Bhupatinath went on a pilgrimage. A young man named Gyanendra Chaudhary was wandering in the forest of Agra in search of a Siddha Yogi. At that time he met Bhupatinath for a few days. When they both reached a temple, Bhupatinath performed homa-havan. For that, Gyanendra used to bring dry wood. At that time he did not know anything about the yoga achievements of Bhupatinath. He considered Ntem to be a normal person like himself. One day a tragedy happened. While plucking wood, a sharp thorn of hawthorn penetrated Gyanendra's eye. He started having severe pain. Despite taking medicine, he did not get better. Then after seven-eight days the doctors told him - tomorrow we will operate on your eye. Otherwise you will not be well.

When Yogi Bhupatinath came to know about this, he rubbed his hand twice over Gyanendra's afflicted eye. In the sixth part of the hour, the pain in Gyanendra's eye disappeared. He felt as if nothing had happened to his eye. Even then, Gnanendra could not imagine that Bhupatinath was a great Siddha Yogi. He was simply awestruck by this miraculous event. The next day an even bigger miracle happened. Gyanendra reached the hospital for the operation. All preparations for the operation had been made. After Gyanendra lay on the stretcher, the doctors examined his eye and exclaimed in amazement - the eye is now perfectly fine. There is no problem. There is no need for an operation, the eye is so good that there is no need to put any medicine in it anymore. At that time, Gyanendra realized that this was the miracle of Bhupatinath's touch. This has happened due to his yogasiddhi.
