- American management is more open compared to Britain, the impact of American management has been felt all over the world. Britain did not invent new technology
The American management system has given rise to monstrous corporations since the early twentieth century. American management style seems to be more egalitarian and less traditional than British management style. But many do not know that a limited liability company called a joint stock company can be called Britain's greatest invention in the field of management. As early as 1600 AD, the East India Company was established in Britain under the charter of the British Crown. This company started with trading with other Asian countries including India, but the weakness of India and after the victory in Plassey war, England took over the entire country. Under this new regime in Britain, a limited liability company is a person who can buy property in its own name, take out loans, and yet the liability of the persons who fund it in the form of shares is limited only to the value of their shares. Business firms in India were mostly sole proprietorships or partnership firms. This does not happen in limited liability companies. At most, after the value of your shares goes to zero, the responsibility of the company's thousands of shareholders is extinguished. We consider the inventions of medicines, airplanes, cars, scooters, electricity, products, cement etc. as real inventions but the invention of a new system is not an invention. For example, the General Motors Company of America created the divisional form of organization and is not ready to consider it as a fundamental invention. Now in the field of management, matrix organization, networked organization, English letter M type of management, boundary less management, three petal flower like foamrock management etc. have been discovered. However, the management systems of many companies in India are hierarchical, similar to those in the UK. Hierarchical means systems with a hierarchy of hierarchy. They are widely seen in the military. By the way, in England, India etc. limited liability entities are called companies while in America they are not called companies but corporations and hence the whole word 'incorporated' after the company name is replaced by INC. The word is written like General Electric Corporation, IBM Corporation, etc. We don't have a corporation here in America. After the discovery of Limited Liability Company in the world, their business and their production and import and export have become sky-high. If the concept of joint company had not been established in England, commercial capitalism would not have been replaced by industrial capitalism at that time.
American management style is more open than British management style. There are many reasons for this, one important reason being that American society was not a feudal society at all. America was ruled by Britain but that country was never completely under British rule.
Western European countries and especially the UK. (Egland of that time) established many colonies around the world while America did not establish any colonies. On the contrary, America itself was a colony of Britain. Although both America and Britain are considered democratic countries, since the administration of British companies is bureaucratic (bureaucracy), there was a bureaucratic culture of high-low hierarchy in the companies there. In comparison, the management of American companies was more open and delegated authority to subordinates. American companies were and are more flexible than British companies. American companies have invented more products or services through their R&D accounts than British companies.
Of course Penicillin was invented in Britain but many other medicines were invented in America. Medical devices (carscan, petscan, x-ray therapy, etc.) America surpassed England and Henry Ford universalized car ownership, making the American car industry the largest in the world. Major credit goes to America for the changes in management theory and practices that took place in the twentieth century. America invented the assembly line production method to create a society of specialized production and specialized marketing. Britain's Royal Roy brand superluxury car maker was defeated by American, Italian, German luxury car makers. Now Britain's RollsRoyal company manufactures jet engines. The fourth industrial revolution is now robotics, automation, and biotechnology, with the president Yash going to America's venture firms. In this field, American companies (the main symbol of which is Musk's Tesla Company of America) are overshadowing British companies. If America had Stanford University, there would be no Silicon Valley. This means that Stanford University has directly and indirectly raised so many researchers and entrepreneurs that it has made Silicon Valley the center of the world's IT industry. Compared to America, Britain is traditional and its companies are still hierarchical. The British company is conservative in matters of discipline, etiquette, dress code, language used in the office, hierarchy, promotion of people below.
While American companies promote their employees quickly and also fire them quickly. Japan invented Total Quality Control System and Kaizan but Britain did not invent any new management techniques.
