Home Remedies for Winter Skin Care


The cold of winter has the opposite effect on the skin. People with rough skin tend to have dry and dull skin. As a result, marketed moisturizers and body lotions are used. But skin can be taken care of with home remedies.

Diet

The more nutritious the diet in winter, the more health benefits. At the same time, the skin also becomes shiny. In that case, include antioxidant-rich fruits in your daily diet. Also increase the intake of green vegetables. Vegetables like spinach, fenugreek, bathua, tandaliya are easily available in this season.

Fat is also an essential nutrient for our skin. It keeps the skin moist in winter.

Moisturizer

The cold and the pollution of this season draw moisture from our skin. So the face becomes more protected. Also white patches appear on it. In such cases, the skin needs to be provided with moisture in an unnatural way. Which are available as body lotion, moisturizer, cream.

Oil massage

Oil is important for skin in cold season. It provides moisture to the skin. Bathing with warm water in winter makes the skin more dry. So if you eat coprale immediately after bath then massage with olive oil.

The oil contains polyphenols, fatty acids and antioxidants that maintain the glow of the skin. The use of mustard and almond oil also proves to be beneficial.

Lip care

Chapped lips are a common problem in winter. Cold and dry air damages the skin as well as hardens it. If it is not taken care of properly, the skin of the lips gets torn. Applying butter, ghee and cream on the lips in winter makes the skin smooth.

Glycerin

Glycerin is an excellent moisturizer. Mix rose water in glycerin and use. But after this, if itching, redness or residue appears on the skin, stop applying it.

Milk and nuts

Milk bleaches the skin while almond oil being a natural emollient keeps the skin supple. One of the two can be used as well as both can be mixed.

Petroleum jelly

Petroleum jelly is an excellent moisturizer for the skin. Vaseline is also an excellent form of petroleum jelly.

Hair also needs to be taken care of in winter. The incidence of hair loss is increasing these days. Excess amount of dandruff in hair leads to hair breakage and also affects hair growth.

Oil massage is important for hair care. Olive oil is more beneficial for it. Massage the oil into the hair as it is necessary to massage the oil to the roots of the hair. Apart from this, olive oil can also be used for massage.

If the amount of dandruff in the hair is increased, mix a spoonful of lemon juice in mustard oil and apply it to the roots of the hair and leave it for one to one and a half hours and then wash the hair with a mild shampoo.

Koparel

It is beneficial to apply Koparel before going to bed at night.

Take eight-ten drops of Koparel in the palm and rub it on the hands and face. Apply again after the oil is fully absorbed.

Banana Facepack

Banana contains abundant amount of moisture and anti-oxidants which softens the skin. Also, acne and wrinkles are not allowed to occur on the face.

Make a pack of banana, neem and turmeric on acne-prone face,

Apply banana and papaya face pack on oily skin. Mix a spoonful of honey in half a banana and apply it on your face and wash it off after 15-20 minutes.

Milk and honey

Raw milk Raw milk and honey are useful for softening dry winter skin. Raw milk contains lactic acid and asfa hydroxy acid which are also used to make beauty products. It works as an excellent moisturizer for dry skin in winters. Also, honey provides moisture to the skin. It helps in removing dead cells from the face. Mix one spoon of honey and two spoons of raw milk and make a paste. Apply this paste on the face with the help of a cloth and after 15 minutes gently rub and wash it off while massaging. After that apply moisturizer.
