Wadali was once the largest village of Idar State. Wadali was directly dominated by Eder State. At that time the Diwan here was from Punjab. And he imposed a tax here - Patiya tax.

The Diwan here raised taxes on the people. Whoever did not pay this tax was beaten with a plank. Hence the name of this tax - Patiya tax.

The whole village was haunted. But nothing works for anyone. Finally the Jain Mahajan came forward with courage. A strong protest was lodged. The whole village stood by him.

Sabka Saath-Sabka Vikas-Finally Patiya tax was repealed. Diwan like Narada of Punjab also disappeared.
