What are the movies to watch in 2023?

- Shishir Ramawat

Ok, so the year 2022 is over and the year 2023 is approaching. If there is no corona or lockdown type of conditions and the whole year will pass smoothly then how Bollywood is going to entertain us this time? What are the movies that we feel like waiting for? (Boycott brigade, please, do it now.) Without a long introduction, let's get straight to the point.

Pathan, Jawan, Dunki: Shahrukh Khan has three films coming this year. One of them is 'Pathan', which was caught in controversy due to its shameless bikini, and another similar action film, 'Jawaan'. 'Pathan' will release later this month, 'Jawaan' in early June. You know Deepika Padukone and John Abraham are also in 'Pathan' directed by Siddharth Anand. Salman Khan will also appear in a small role in this. 'Jawan' will be influenced by southern actors. The heroine of the film is South Indian actress Nayantara. The great actor Vijay Sethupathi will be seen in a Hindi film for the first time this time. The director is also from the south, whose name sounds strange to us - Atli or Atlee.

Shah Rukh's third film of this year, 'Dunky' is really special as it is being produced by Rajkumar Hirani. Hirani wanted to cast Shah Rukh in 'Lage Raho Munnabhai'. The coincidence of working together has been formed till now. Like Rajkumar Hirani's other films this is also a social comedy. Taapsee Pannu will be paired opposite Shahrukh in the film which will release at the end of December.

Tiger-Three, Kissi Ka Bhai Kissi Ki Jaan: Here Tiger is not Tiger Shroff, but Salman Khan. The sequel to 'Ek Tha Tiger' and 'Tiger Zinda Hai', it also stars Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi. Manish Sharma has directed the film. 'Tiger-3' will release later this year, in November. Salman's one-on-one film 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan' (good title, isn't it?) will come around Eid with a lot of buzz. Pooja Hegde is the heroine. Apart from Shehnaz Gill, who became famous after appearing in 'Bigg Boss', TV star Shweta Tiwari's daughter Palak Tiwari will also appear in this film.

ANIMAL: Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who made a splash with 'Arjun Reddy' (which later became 'Kabir Singh'), is naturally all eyes on him when he is making his Bollywood debut. The hero of 'Animal' is Ranbir Kapoor who is a new father. The one who rightly or wrongly got the title of 'National Crush' is Rashmika Mandana's film heroine. Ranbir's second film of the year is directed by Luv Ranjan, who earlier made 'Pyar Ka Panchnama' and 'Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety'. Phoebe hasn't named the film yet, but it's apparently a romantic comedy. Shraddha Kapoor, who has disappeared these days, is the heroine of the film, meaning 'Stri'. Will Ranbir's 'Brahmastra-2' also come this year? There is no guarantee, but it is expected.

Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani: Ranveer Singh, who was saddened by the super flop of 'Circus', if his luck is good, then this film will run at the box office. The reason for such hope is that the heroine of the film is Alia Bhatt. Ranveer-Alia's pair is attractive to the audience. The film also stars Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi. Director Karan Johar has done a great combination. The film will release at the end of April.

Shehzada, Satyaprem Ki Katha: Even though people did not enjoy 'Freddy', Karthik Aaryan who made 'Bhulbhulaiya-2' a hit is a hit and happening these days. In 'Shehzada', A Masala is going to appear as a typical hero of the film. The film is actually a remake of Allu 'Pushpa' Arjun's Telugu film. Directed by Varun Dhawan's elder brother Rohit Dhawan, the film was planned to release last November, but now it will release around Valentine's Day i.e. mid-February. The heroine is Kriti Sanan. Karthik's second film this year is 'Satyaprem Ki Katha'. From the name itself, it seems that this is a romantic comedy. Directed by Sameer Vidwans, the heroine of this film is Kiara Advani. The film will release at the end of June.

Bawal: The reason to wait for this Varun Dhawan film is its director - Nitish Tiwari. This is his first film after the director who gave bumper hits like 'Dangal' and super hits like 'Chichhore'. Jhanvi Kapoor is the heroine of this film which was shot on locations around the world. Jhanvi has done a lot of work in the past year by taking on the burden of several films single-handedly, but in this film she has become a typical heroine.

Project K: We don't know Nag Ashwin very well, but know that he is a very successful filmmaker in the Telugu film industry. His upcoming bilingual film 'Project K', which is a science fiction, stars Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone. Interesting!

Adipurush and Pushpa-2: Even though people got excited after seeing the teaser, everyone is waiting for Prabhas' next film 'Adipurush'. Let's see if director Om Raut's version of Ramayana can finally satisfy the audience. Will the 'Pushpa' sequel be as strong as the original? Well, it is likely to be strong, as the character of high-class Malayali actor Fahadh Faasil is to be fully developed in this part. 'Adipurush' will be released in the middle of the year, while 'Pushpa-To' will release in the year-end.

Apart from this, some interesting films are coming in 2023. Let us briefly mention about it. Vishal Bhardwaj's stepson Asmaan Bhardwaj is making his directorial debut with 'Kutte'. Father made 'Kamine', son made 'Kutte'! Naseeruddin Shah, Tabu, Konkana Sen Sharma, Arjun Kapoor.. 'Kutte' has a strong star cast. Ayushmann Khurrana's 'Dreamgirl' sequel will come in 2023 and Vicky Kaushal's 'Saam Bahadur' will also come. Even if people do nepotism... nepotism, this year there is a whole new crop of star kids. Shah Rukh Khan's daughter Suhana Khan, Aamir Khan's son Junaid Khan, Salman Khan's sister-in-law Alize Agnihotri, Sridevi-Boney Kapoor's second daughter Khushi, Khushi's cousin i.e. Sanjay Kapoor's daughter Shanaya Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan's cousin Pashmina Roshan, Amitabh Bachchan's daughter's son Agastya Nanda, Ananya Pandey's cousin Ahan Pandey... you count.

It is certain that the year 2023 is going to be a very crucial year for Bollywood.
