Durga Puja is seen throughout the country with Navratri festival. At this time, all the Durga worshipers have already started. With the opening of Navratri on September 29, places of goddess Mother's pandal and idols are being started in prominent places across the country. In each place there are different features of the Durga idol. These idols become captivating and the center of attraction.

However, this year a statue of Durgaji is to be set up in Calcutta which is much discussed. The idol is said to be worth Rs 20 crore. A 50 kg gold statue will be installed in Durga Puja this year in Calcutta, the capital of West Bengal. The idol made in Calcutta is worth crores of rupees because it is made of many expensive metals, including gold, not from clay.

This statue has been prepared by the Satguru Mitra Durgotsav Samiti of Calcutta. This statue is 13 feet high. The sculpture, made at a cost of Rs 20 crore, can be seen in Navratri. It is worth mentioning that the organizers did not spend money to make the idol but the jewelers found and made a 50 kg gold idol. They say they will return the gold after the idol is dissolved. However, this is not the first time such an expensive Durga idol has been made. Earlier, the committee made a 22 kg gold statue in 2017.
