Apple recently introduced the Apple TV Plus with its three iPhones. Apple TV Plus is a subscription based online TV. Apple TV + could be a problem for Netflix who have already taken hold in India. However, that doesn't mean Apple will outperform Netflix. Apple has announced that with the launch of the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max, any product of the company will get one year free subscription to Apple TV.
That means users can now buy an iPhone, buy a MacBook, buy an iPad or buy an iPod or they will get a 1 year subscription of Apple TV Plus for free. After completing this free service, the user will have to pay Rs 99 per month to the company.
The company expects to sell 130 million ie 13 million iPhones in the next 1 year. 13 million people will get a subscription to Apple TV Plus. It would mean that the company would immediately make 13 million people its subscribers. Apple has teamed up with Hollywood artists to stream TV Plus videos. According to the report, Apple will spend approximately Rs 14,300 crore in 2019 on Apple TV Plus. Apart from this, he has kept the rent at Rs. 99 for the subscription.
The online video streaming service is fast becoming popular worldwide, including in India. Apps like Hotstar, Netflix, Amazon Prime are already popular in India. However, Flipkart has also launched its own video streaming app. Which is only available on Android mobiles.
