Social networking site Facebook is about to launch a news section soon. This is why the company is communicating with several major publishers.

The Wall Street General confirmed this in a report. According to the report, Facebook has also partnered with the New York Times for a news section. The list also includes the names of publishers like BuzzFeed, the Washington Post and Business Insider. However, there has been no statement from Facebook about the partnership.

Just a few days ago, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg called social media the fifth pillar of the world. He said that due to social media, today the people have the power in the hands of the people. People have succeeded in spreading their word to the world due to social media.

According to the report so far, Facebook's news section will be free for all users. However, Facebook can pay publishers for the news section. That being said, Facebook is going to spend about $ 21 million for the news section.

"It's important to me that we deliver credible news to people and find a way to help journalists around the world," Zuckerberg wrote in a recent post. Facebook will work with publishers to ensure that the content on their platform is original and authentic.
