The name of Yamaraj is performed in every house on the day of Narak Chaturdashi. People are unaware of the truth of why this Divo is done for Yamaraj, the god of death. So let us tell you today about two myths associated with this practice.
According to the first story, the lord of the black fourteenth is Yamraj. The moon does not appear even on this date. A large lamp is placed at the main door of the house so that the Yamaraj does not wander in the dark.
According to another story there was a goddess named Ranti Dev. The king, who was so religious and never sinned in life, had to go to hell after death.
Seeing the folk of hell, the king said that he had done no sin in his life, even though he got hell. In response to this question, Mardev spoke that once a Brahmin was hungry from your door.
This is his fruit. Knowing this, the king asked the angel for a year and went to the Rishis to settle him. The Rishis said that fasting on the fourteenth day of the Krishna party of the Karatak mass and apologizing to the Brahmins for their meal.
A year later Yamudat returned again to take the king and place him in heaven. From this day onwards, the practice of lighting lamps in the courtyard of the house began so that no one could sin.
There are some things to keep in mind when lighting this lamp. The first thing that the biggest person in the house does is ignite the lamp. Make this lamp turn it into every corner of the house and then keep it outside the main door. Other members of the household stay in the home during this time.
