The Consulate General of India's office in San Francisco provides Indian passport-important services related to immigration in six states along the West Coast. Recently, the Consulate General of India, Consul of San Francisco (CIC & VISA) Smt SUMATI RAO has officially announced that many questions regarding OCI card in India are prevalent in Indo-US Indians.
Indian Americans traveling from India to the United States had OCI cards but the passport number shown in them did not match the passport number they had and they did not get OCI card again so it was not allowed for plane travel. Information has been officially announced.
Announcing further information about renewing OCI card and announcing more information about it, the Consulate Office SFO said that (1) Everyone with an OCI card below 6 years will have to get their OCI card again when they renew their passport.
(3) A person who has an OCI card of 3 to 6 years will not be required to carry an OCI card when issuing his passport but will have to keep with the old and new passport and OCI card while traveling. (3) For those with an OCI card above 6 years, it is recommended that the OCI card be reissued only once.
