The operating system has often been questioned about the security and privacy of Android. Google has discovered a bug in Apple's Safari browser. Google claims that the Safari browser's anti-tracking feature actually works for tracking.
A security report by Google has revealed in its report that Safari browser has a loophole (error) that threatens users' privacy. Hackers can take advantage of the personal information of the Safari browser and exploit it. Taking advantage of this loophole of the Safari browser, hackers could see users 'browsing history, and websites could track users' behavior, though Apple has now fixed it.
There was a bug in Intelligent Tracking Prevention (ITP)
According to Google's report, there was a bug in Safari browser's Intelligent Tracking Prevention (ITP) that was working in the opposite direction. As an example, the Intelligent Tracking Provisioning feature allows users to save search information from being trashed while it was assisting tracking. Normally if you visit a website then its cookies are available but with Safari something was going wrong. Safari does not accept cookies from any websites, but due to this bug, websites are starting to get cookies.
Questions have already been raised on Safari's privacy
However, this is not the first time Safari browser privacy has been questioned. This past year, Safari browser also had a feature called Do Not Track, which Apple later removed. Websites were easily tracking users taking advantage of this feature.
