The story of the origin of the river Saraswati

An important history of how the Saraswati became a river in mythology. At one time Lord Hari had three wives. Ganga, Saraswati and Lakshmi. Of these three, the Lord would have been more pleased towards the Ganges. Shri Lakshmi was calm, but Saraswati Devi was offended. And there was a conflict between the three. He said to Mr. Hari, "Lord! You should adopt the same husband with all three wives and give them equal justice. Thus the three goddesses began to curse one another. The Ganges cursed Saraswati Devi for becoming a river. So at that time Saraswati Devi also cursed the Ganges to become a river and told her. You have to take away the sins of the whole society.

Shri Harivishnu calmed the three and gave his archivachs, saying that India will receive the blessings of Brahmaji by staying in the form of Saraswati river during the year. Shri Lakshmi will be called Padmavati river and my seminary. Ganga, you inhabit Shivaji jata in the main form of the river.

Accordingly, all these three rivers came to earth and purified their land by being located in Bharat Varsha for the salvation of human beings.
