Popular messaging app WhatsApp has launched 'Dark Mode' feature like other apps including Gmail, Instagram, Google Maps after waiting too long.
WhatsApp has rolled out the 'Dark Mode' feature for both iOS and Android platforms. The Dark Mode feature offers the option of a darker shade, gray and off-white theme so that even when the brightness is low the user's eyes are not pressed and the eyes are relaxed.
Users of Android 10 and iOS 13 will be able to enable the Dark Mode feature directly by going to System settings. But users with an operating system of Android-9 or older will need to go to 'Settings' after updating WhatsApp and select the 'Display' option of 'Chats' and enable the 'Dark Theme' in 'Themes'.
The 'dark mode' feature reduces the light emitted from the screen so that the phone's battery will be less used. Also it will not affect the colors of the sticker, image and emoji.
