It is inappropriate to discriminate against all Bengali women because of Sushant: Babul Supriyo

Since Riya Chakraborty's name was implicated in the case of Rathi Sushant Singh Rajput, trolls have been targeting Bengali women. Actor-singer-Babul Supriyo says this is totally inappropriate. But Sushant's case has been handed over to the CBI.

Many believe that Babul Supriyo will have some primary sources through which he will get all the information about Sushant's case. But the actor-singer says that I also get all the information through the media like other people. He further says that Sushant's demise has shaken us all. He came from a small town in Mumbai with many dreams in his eyes and wanted to establish his place in Bollywood. But he died prematurely. I don’t know him personally.

Even so, there is no reason to believe that he would have committed suicide. How can it be that his close friends are not aware of his mood? There is nothing wrong with the ongoing kinship debate in Bollywood, but it is changing the course of the case. A number of questions remain unanswered around his death. I am happy that this case is being handled by the CBI.

Expressing displeasure over the fact that Riya's name has been implicated in Sushant's case, Bengali women have been denigrated as opportunistic and greedy. It is totally inappropriate to weigh all Bengali women in this way. There is nothing wrong with talking about the good and the bad of Bollywood. In fact we should see if there was any criminal cause around Sushant's death. But in the unnecessary statements made by Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt, it is considered inappropriate to drag Alia Bhatt.

Babul Supriyo also doesn't like the talk of boycotting producers and artists on social media. Until a person is found guilty, he is considered innocent. Of course, now that Sushant's case is being handled by the CBI, there will be milk and water. We have to adopt a wait-and-see policy now.
