Sherman Joshi: The value of actors in Bollywood can be deduced from their last film

In his two-decade career, Sherman Joshi has acted admirably in a number of films like 'Rang De Basanti', 'Golmal', 'Life in a Metro', 'E Idiots', 'Ferrari Ki Savari'. Importantly, viewers have praised Sherman's performance, but he has received relatively few films.

About the challenges in the field of acting, Sherman says that even actors are ultimately human beings. Sometimes it also happens that the selection of the film goes awry. In fact, your value in this profession depends on how successful or unsuccessful you are in your last project. Sometimes some films do not get the expected success. My 'Var Chhod Na Yaar', 'Gang of Ghost' and 'Super Nani' after 'Ferrari Ki Savari' did not get the expected success and it was like my retreat. I was a little disappointed. It further says that once you knock down then it takes you a while to get out of it. But I am lucky that I got the opportunity to work in ‘Mission Mars’ last year.

Having been associated with Bollywood for over two decades, Sherman knows what works and what doesn't. Talking about the ongoing kinship and love policy in Bollywood, the actor says that getting a break in the industry is as hard as chewing iron chickpeas. Of course, in every competitive profession, including sports, you have to overcome challenges. But in the film industry, every actor wants to work with a certain filmmaker. It seems easier to work with like-minded artists. I have also done two consecutive films with Rajkumar Hirani and Vidhu Vinod Chopra. They like me as an actor and I love working with them too.

Sherman's web show 'Barish' was a great success so he is very happy. Now his other films including 'Aankh Micholi' are to be released and he is preparing to do a thriller with Abbas-Mustan. He is very excited about this film which will be released on OTT. He says Abbas-Mustan is adept at making thrillers so I look forward to working with him.
