Glory of Kanthagor Pujan in Shri Purushottam Mass

These five mounds of Kanthagor are similar to the symbol of Panchdev. Looking further, Srilakshmi, the consort of Panchdev, can also be called these forms of her goddesses.

In particular, the five elements on earth are earth, water, air, sky and fire. Whatever these five heaps are arranged in its symbolism. The human body is also made up of these five elements. Which is considered to be the best gift God has given to the earth. Therefore, the Panchmahabhutattattva, which is a representation of God, is worshiped in the form of Kanthagor.

In Indian culture, holy pilgrimages are located in all four directions. Kanthagore is worshiped with symbols such as Badrinath in the north, Kedarnath, Dwarkadhish in the west, Rameshwar in the south, Jagannathpuri in the east and Govardhan mountain in the middle.

The five heaps of Kanthagor are worshiped by the five karmendriyas of this body with the spirit that good deeds and satkarmas are always performed. Thus the vows of Vat-Savitri for women were performed in the Purushottam Mass. Her femininity is enhanced by protecting her husband and family from the worship of Kanthagor.
