In every two years, there are twelve months of VS, but in the third year, there is also an additional thirteenth month. Every two and a half years there is a month in which the solar transition from the unit to the lunar month does not enter, the arrangement of an additional month is a lunar month.
The flow of time is infinite, but for the sake of convenience and as there are different methods of calculating the year and month according to the need, such an arrangement has been made even in the VS years. The country's expert astronomers have arranged to add an extra month every three years to match the seasons, months and festivals. Due to which this month coming at the end of VS 207 has been considered extra. That means there are two months this year. Special rules of solar eclipse- According to the principles, the extra mass comes in certain special months.
Since this mass is free from solar transition, that time is considered weak and vulnerable. Solar energy is not very active in this month. That is why this month is called 'Malmas'.
There is a story about 'Adhik Mas' in 'Padma Purana'. At one point, Adhik Mas became sad and went to Lord Vishnu to express his grief. There he said to God,
'O Lord, I have not been given any name, nor have I any favorite god, nor have I found refuge in any deity.
What is the meaning of such a humiliated life? Seeing his condition, Lord Vishnu went to Lord Krishna to find a way. Purna Purushottam was seated in Gaulok.
After hearing the complaint of Adhikamasa, Lord Krishna said to Vishnuji, 'You have been saved only by holding the hand of Adhikamasa today. Yet when you have the conscience to bring it to me, I give it my virtue, a wealth like mine. In the Vedas, the name of Lord Krishna became Purushottam. This extra month was named 'Purushottam Mass'.
The grace of Lord Krishna will surely descend on anyone who worships Lord Krishna in this month. In this way, this month gained an invaluable unique place. Although good deeds in the extra month, Manglik occasions are forbidden. Such as Dev Pratishthan Nine Building Excavation Muhurat Wedding House Entrance etc.
Different festivals are celebrated throughout the year. But in Adhikamas, there is an arrangement that the festival is organized on the date which is the festival of the year. That is why this Adhikamas is called the month of Manorath. During this month, Srithakorji's manorathos are seen giving a glimpse of various greens. However most of the manors are of the Lord’s childhood greens.
In Pavankari Purushottam, the story of Purushottam Mass is told in villages, cities and Ther Ther temples. Just like Shravan Mass, the atmosphere becomes pure with Bhakti-Bhajan-Kirtan-Satsang. Throughout the year, festivals like Annafut-Khichdi Bhog, Tulsi Vivah, Srinathjin Vivah, Naukavihar, Phoolbangla, Vasantotsav, Holi Utsav, Dolotsav and Zula-Hindola are celebrated in the temples.
There are two Ekadashis in the extra month. Padmini of the first Shuklapaksha and Parma of Krishnapaksha. Eleven months of excess is more fruit-bearing. There is proportion in Bhagavat. Nirjala Ekadashi tends to be the beneficiary.
Thus, Purushottam Mass, which falls every three years, is considered very sacred. Here Lord Krishna Himself is seated in the form of Purushottam. This is a wonderful opportunity to receive God's undeserved kindness. Adhikamas Bhakti- This is the divine mass of Bhavna Manorath. Let us be blessed by taking Divyananda.
