Slovenia's young cyclist Tadei Pogachar's milestone success on the Tour de France

The nearly three-and-a-half-thousand-kilometer Tour de France is divided into 21 stages, in which cyclists have to traverse rough roads with rugged mountains, challenging valleys and steep angles. This time Tadei Pogachar has won out of 12 cyclists who have been fighting with the same goal for 3 consecutive days.

Jumbo Wismo's Slovenian racer Primos Roglichar was considered the favorite to win in the race held between various precautions during the Corona era. Roglichar was the favorite to become the champion when the 20th stage of the 21-stage race started, as he had been at the top of the race for the last 15 days and now there were only two stages left. Also, he was 3 seconds ahead of his nearest rival and Slovenian teammate Tedai Pogachar, who is said to be very big in the world of distance cycling.

It seemed to everyone that Roglichar, who was on the verge of winning the crown, would become the first Slovenian to win the Tour de France, while the 21-year-old Pogachar of the UAE team was having a different calculation. He knew that there were only two stages left and that was the time to show real talent!

He risked his life in the 50th stage of the Mountain Time Trial and a distance of 4.5 km and ensured a heartbreaking victory by cutting Roglichar's 6-second lead to a 7-second lead. For the first time in the history of the Tour de France in the last three decades, there was an unexpected victory in the final stage. Roglichar missed for the slightest despite reaching the end and Vijayshree's garland remained the adornment of Pogachar's neck.

Pogachar also won the title of Best Mountain Climber Racer as well as Best Youth Racer. The gold-smelling record was that Pogachar won the race for the first time in his career on the Tour de France, a day before his 9th birthday!

Pogachar and Reglichar, who have been named champions and runners-up in history, are recognized by the Slovenian world as a pair of Poggy and Rogla. The 30-year-old Roglichar is a former ski jumper and has topped the road cycling for six weeks. Pogachar is only 3 years old and this is only the fourth year in the world of professional cycling in which he has achieved what can be called a mountain-like achievement.

Born on September 21, 19, in the Pogachar family, living in the small village of Komanda, which became known as Slovenia after separating from Yugoslavia, Tadei's father was a designer of furniture, while his mother was a French teacher. Little Tadei always followed his older brother Tilan and imitated whatever he did. Seeing his older brother, Tadei also learned cycling and then began to feel that his legs were really made to pedal.

Everyone was surprised to see little Tadei riding a smaller bicycle than him. Miha Konsilja, a friend of the Pogachar family, who was also a cycling coach, got the first glimpse of Tadei's talent and gave him an entry into the cycling club. He was then one of the youngest members of the club.

At one time there was a children's bicycle race in Jubalgen. Andrej Haptman, a medalist at the Road World Championships, arrived at the time. He noticed that a little boy was riding a big bicycle about 100 yards [100 m] behind the other big boys in the race. Haptman was pleased to see the little boy's wonderful adventure and struggle, and went to the organizers to say that the boy should be helped.

Last year in 2012, he won the Tour of California at the age of just 30 and became the youngest cyclist to win a race in World Tour Racing.
