The glory of Kamala Ekadashi of Purushottam month

Purushottam Lord Vishnu, the presiding deity of Adhik Mas, is considered to be the form of 'Padmayoni'. He manifested from the lotus-like drain of Brahma. So his heartfelt wife is 'Kamala'. Kamala means Lakshmi enthroned on a lotus. In the Vedic 'Srisukta', the goddess of prosperity and beauty 'Shri i.e. Lakshmi' is praised. Another mythical name of Lakshmi is 'Kamala'.

At one point, Lord Vishnu woke up to the code of Lakshmiji. Humans also have to struggle a lot. There is a story about this in 'Vishnu Purana' to appease Lakshmi. The demons devoured the ocean of milk with great diligence. Then Sri Lakshmidevi, seated on the blossoming lotus, appeared with a lotus flower in her hand.

His manifestation was greeted by the gods-Gandharvas through song-dance, then Vishwakarma welcomed Lakshmiji with various ornaments with gold ornaments, then in the presence of the gods Srilakshmidevi, Sri Vishnu. The Ekadashis of Sud-Vad in the Purushottamamas are called 'Kamala Ekadashi' or 'Padhimani Ekadashi'.

To worship Lakshmi-Narayan by remembering Lord Purushottam on this eleventh Brahmamurhat, to recite Vedic Srisukta, to recite the name. Listening to the story of Purushottam Mas, listening to Bhagavat. The vrat-puja, policy-rules performed on Ekadashi are the means of cultivating body-purification-mind-purification, peace of mind and sense restraint. Such restrained policies are conducive to turning human beings from immorality to virtue.

Lord Krishna also once told the story of Kamala Ekadashi to Yudhisthira. So in 'Padrum Purana' Kamala Ekadashi is called 'Mohini Ekadashi'.

According to the story of 'Brahma-Purana', after bathing in Vipre, Triveni named Shiv Sharma, in the ashram of a sage, the story of Purushottam mas, which accidentally gave sacrifice and salvation to his ears, was heard. Influenced by this story, he fasted Ekadashi only then. Lakshmiji was pleased with this vow and gave her Lakshmi's treasure. After this Shivshamo's family greeted him.

This 'Kamala-Ekadashi' of Adhikamas is a tribute to Goddess Bhagwati 'Kamaladevi' who is the half-brother of Lord Purushottam.
