Decrease in the average rate of GDP behind various negative factors

Hindutva politics can be fruitful in winning elections - even if it did not work in West Bengal, but Hindutva politics does not help the economy or alleviate the country's poverty. The Modi government has been successful in some aspects of the economy but has failed to increase the GDP (national income), the best barometer of economic performance.

Let's talk about national income first. During the seven years from 2007-08 to 2010-2011, when the Congress-led UPA was the party, India's average national income growth rate was 7.5 per cent, while the BJP-led NDA's growth rate was seven per cent during the seven years from 2012-2013 to 2020-2021. . It has to be admitted here that the financial year 2020-2021 had a negative economic growth rate due to the Kovid epidemic. Even if we subtract this year from the NDA's seven years, the NDA's GDP growth rate from 2013-2014 to 2016-2020 was 7.5 per cent. In short, the BJP's expertise in the field of economics was overshadowed by the BJP's.

Poverty:

So what progress has been made in reducing poverty? Poverty figures for India are not available after 2011. If we consider those with a daily income below ૯ 1.50 (approximately Rs. 150) as poor on the basis of purchasing power purity in 2011, then according to this World Bank norm, 12.5 per cent of India's population in 2016 was poor.

In 2011-2012, 41.5 per cent people were poor. What are we going to brag about in front of China? China has almost eradicated poverty in its own country. Poverty is no longer defined as low income. If you have your own home, home electricity, gas and latrines, and access to tap water, affordable education and health facilities, then you are considered to be out of poverty. On the basis of multidimensional poverty, approximately 6% of people in India were poor in 2016-2017.

According to another estimate, 200 million people in India live below the multidimensional poverty line in 2016-2017. If there is one area in which India has grown, it is agriculture. It has increased production rates over the years. In the case of agriculture, during the UPA's seven-year tenure, agricultural output grew at an annual rate of 7.5 per cent, while during the seven years under Modi, it has grown at a rate of 7.5 per cent. In short, India has eradicated drought but not poverty. The record of Congress-inspired youth inflation has been even worse. Because of that he lost the government. During the seven years of the youth government (2007-2008 to 2010-2011), the average rate of inflation was 7.5 per cent, which broke the cadre of the Congress government. In the seven years of Modi's tenure, it has averaged only 4.5 per cent. The Modi government's performance in road construction, tap water, electrification, toilets for the poor, employment under MGNREGA, construction of houses under the Indira Awas Yojana, etc. is better than that of the Congress-led UPA.

Under the Modi government, foreign exchange in India has reached the level of 20 million, but the biggest weakness of this government is the huge stockpile of foodgrains. For which the government has spent Rs 4.5 lakh crore and has done so to please the farmers. Therefore, the Modi government has shown so-called criminally negligent performance in the field of education and health. The Modi government is still lax in establishing a welfare state.
