- Amar Upadhyay is happy with his work and this happiness is not only to entertain the audience, but he has created something different, he is happy
Actor Amar Upadhyay is happy with his work and this happiness is not only to entertain the audience, but he has created something different, he is happy he has a new show, based on a tradition of buying a bride. Of course this is illegal, yet this practice still exists today. The purpose behind making this show is to raise awareness among the people against this practice.
In a social media post, Amar Upadhyay said that the show was inspired by the Panchayat of Sajjanpur village in Banswara district of Rajasthan. Elaborating on this, Amar says, "You can't serve fiction to the viewers every day and you can't bring functional change through it. In this show, I have played the role of a village headman. I have good skills in such shows. '
The practice is still prevalent in some parts of Rajasthan and the show could help change that. 'When you make shows based on such issues, you can't say which direction the show will go. You never know whether the show will make a difference. The actor adds, "Kyun ki sans bhi kabhi bahu thi," but now when I see him, I think change will come. I feel like I've done something wrong.
I hope many villages will ban this practice, we have shown what panchayats and local bodies do. What he does is wrong. This tradition should stop. I hope more panchayats will eradicate this practice, 'said Amar Upadhyay.
