Heat relief is needed in the rainy season, but digestive problems are common this season. Therefore proper control over diet becomes essential in monsoon than in other seasons.
Do not take heavy meals in monsoon as long as possible. It slows down digestion. Problems such as swelling of the liver and intestines, flatulence, bile and indigestion occur.
Avoid eating open food available in the market as well as favorite panipuri of Gujaratis as long as possible. Bacteria can cause stomach problems during the monsoon season.
Reduce the amount of milk consumed in the monsoon than in other seasons. Milk takes time to digest, so it is possible to fill the stomach with gas.
Consumption of leafy vegetables in monsoon is not sensible.
Tea drinkers should consume herbal teas such as chamomile tea, green tea and ginger tea. Tea made in this way improves the digestive system.
Yogurt, butter, milk, cheese contain probiotics and have good bacteria. Which is beneficial for the digestive system.
Drink more water. It helps in removing toxins from the body. Drinking more water keeps the digestive system healthy.
It is advisable to consume light vegetables in monsoon. It balances the digestive system as well as boosts immunity.
Eat boiled rather than raw vegetables and salads. Stomach infections can be caused by the presence of bacteria and viruses in raw vegetables.
Do not consume cashew nuts, almonds, mawa sweets. As it is heavy in digestion, it is likely to cause stomach problems.
If you have diarrhea, mix ghee in a soft paste and eat it.
Consumption of sour and spicy items is prohibited as the problem of wind is increasing in monsoon.
If there is panic or mild pain in the chest due to indigestion, take 50 gms of roasted cumin, 20 gms of roasted aniseed, and 20-2 gms of black sesame powder in a bowl and keep it in a bottle. If you feel heaviness and indigestion in the stomach or chest, take 2-3 grams of powder with water.
Drinking warm water one hour before and after meals improves digestion.
Include broccoli, carrots, turmeric, garlic and ginger in your daily diet. Beneficial for skin and hair as well as digestion. Garlic and ginger contain antibacterial elements, which keep a person away from problems like cold and cough.
