A radical change in China's population policy, concerned about the growing number of elderly people

- China's drastic measures to control the population in the 1970s are now taking a heavy toll, as the number of people over the age of 60 in China today has reached 22 million.

Of the two most populous countries in the past, the first was China and the second was India. Thus, in many countries of the world, population growth has taken a serious turn. Some underdeveloped countries have become unable to bear the burden of population. Problems like poverty, malnutrition, unemployment, hunger have become a headache for the governments there. The situation was similar in China a few years ago. But now China is facing a new dilemma.

China, which has a proliferationist attitude in the world, is no longer taking the name of population growth even though it does not have a one-child policy. In 2020, China has seen a sharp decline in the birth rate. China's Ministry of Public Security said the birth rate had fallen by 12.5 percent in the past year. Last year, a total of 100,000,000 babies were born in China, compared to 1,01,8,000 in 2016. This is the biggest decline in the birth rate in 3 years. Earlier, there was a big drop in 12.

China's government figures are lower than the number of babies actually born. This is because many parents do not register their children with the government due to the two-child policy and population control policy implemented in the country. According to an estimate, in 2015, an estimated 1.5 crore children were born in the country, against which only 1.15 crore were registered.

The reason behind the decline in birth rate is the one-child policy that has been in force in China for a long time (until 2018). Because of this people are not eager to have a baby. At the same time the working population has declined. The problems of children's upbringing, health, education, housing are also increasing. Because of this people do not want to have a big family. Moreover, one of the reasons for the decline in birth rates last year was the Corona epidemic.

Corona has had a devastating effect on China's economy. In a state of financial uncertainty, people are reluctant to have more children. The elderly population in China continues to grow. Today, one in five people is over 50 years of age. Their population is approximately 3 crores. The government is under pressure to provide pensions with health care to the elderly.

In a nutshell, the Chinese government changed its decades-old one-child policy at the end of 2015, allowing parents to have one child. This was done precisely to control the population. The main reason for the change in policy was the aging population of the country. As a result, the birth rate was expected to rise in the last two years, but this did not happen. Instead the birth rate has started declining. Which is even less than in previous years.

When changing the "one child policy" in December 2016, the Chinese government said it wanted to give people more reproductive freedom, but after releasing this year's figures, the government has launched a new experiment in population engineering. Right now there is a growing awareness of women, especially in cities like Beijing. The health department team is going to the office and door-to-door to explain to the women that the country's population is rapidly aging. The country will need more young populations in the coming decades. This will only be possible when women think about raising a family.

Officials in the capital, Beijing, are concerned about declining birth rates and an aging population. The main reason is that the labor force is declining i.e. the number of people who work in places like offices, companies, manufacturing units, factories is declining. While the government has set a target of 'double digit growth rate'. He also fears a decline in the political capacity of the Chinese Communist Party. This is the reason why health officials are encouraging newlyweds to expand the family. This promotion is part of a 'new population growth policy'. Accordingly, by the year 2020, three million children should be born every year, so that by 2020, 30 million young people can be included in the labor force. Even so, no 'baby boom' of rising birth rates is visible in China.

A few decades ago: From the year 19 to 2014, the same government forcibly followed the 'one child policy'. Many women were forced to have abortions and other measures to reduce birth rates were strictly adhered to.

If a couple gives birth to more than one child, they have to pay a fine of થી 50 to ૨૮ 1,200. The amount of the fine was much larger than the monthly income of the average Chinese citizen.

If the government changes the policy in 2014, the newlyweds, especially women, are being asked to raise a family with 'strictness'. It is being promoted that this year is the best year for their child to be born into the world. The government media is playing a key role in such propaganda. This type of propaganda mainly focuses on women between the ages of 6 and 7. In short, China's latest family planning scheme is not only a violation of women's rights, but also ineffective in enforcing the government's 'Population Growth Agenda'.

China, which has implemented a one-child policy for three-and-a-half decades to curb population growth through repression and coercion, regardless of human rights, has been considering allowing couples to have two children for the past six years. It is likely to be implemented.

China's crackdown on population control for the first time in 1905 is now taking its toll, as the number of people over the age of 80 in China today has reached 20 million, more than the total population of Pakistan.

China today 1. India is the world's most populous country with a population of 5 billion, but the long-term policy of treating manpower as a disaster instead of a strength has led to a shortage of hardworking young workers in many parts of the country today. It is also the country with the youngest population. So even in China, sociologists and economists were concerned about the aging population. There are millions of families in China today who do not have two siblings.

In China, an online survey of nine provinces and municipalities on the new population policy found that people also supported the new population policy. However, the parents of one of the grown-ups said they did not want another child.

However, the two-child policy seems to have failed to address the problem of declining population in China, as a recent survey of working women in China, the world's most populous country, found that 80 percent of women had no desire for another child. In a report released a day before Mother's Day, a company offering jobs in China said that 80 per cent of women in the country did not want another child. The report also said that out of 4.5 per cent of women who have never given birth, 30.5 per cent said they did not want a baby.

A total of 150 working women were surveyed on their lives and work.

Why don't you want a baby When asked, more than 3% of women said that child rearing has become very expensive. Another important issue for them was the time and energy behind raising them. Other issues include the pain of childbirth, risk in business and low confidence in their marriage. Eighty percent of women said they did not want to leave their job to become a second mother. While 12.5 per cent women said they would think about it. Wang Zixin, head of the organization that conducted the survey, said most working women believe it is almost impossible to pay on a husband's income alone. 'His ambition among other reasons. They believe that if they quit their jobs they will be separated from a dynamic society and lose business opportunities.

Even the government's policy of allowing infants has failed and now the Chinese authorities want to allow three children. The government is in a hurry. China's National Health Commission has recommended allowing the birth of as many babies as possible for the experiment in three provinces to increase the birth rate. Following the recommendation, China has taken serious steps to allow any number of children to be born in Liaoning, Jilin and Heilongjiang provinces.

According to China, in 2014, two years after the implementation of the two-child policy, 4 million less children were born. The National People's Congress met with the governors to consider a proposal to repeal the family planning policy from the three provinces.

Thus concerned about the growing number of elderly people, the Chinese government is changing haphazard policies and encouraging people to produce more cubs.
