Beginning of Indian Standard Time

The earth rotates on its axis, so morning and evening occur at different times in each country. When there is day in India, there is night in America on the other side of the earth. Each country keeps its time the same. Establishment of Indian Standard Institute in India in which weight, distance and time measurements are determined. After independence, India's standard time was set to be five hours and 30 minutes later than Greenwich. The clocks of Kolkata, Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai of the country were arranged simultaneously. It was decided that all the clocks would run on the basis of the atomic clock placed in the National Physics Laboratory in Delhi. Which is called Indian Standard Time. Today the watch is connected to the Global Positioning Satellite.
