The story of Sisyphus of Greece is very popular among the legends of the world. Probably, there are millions of pages of writing on it. He is a character in Homer's epic Iliad. Sisyphus was king of Corinth. He deceived death twice so Zeus (a god like Indra) cursed him to carry a falling stone from a mountain of Hades (hell) on his shoulders to climb it again and again and that too for eternity. This is a hopeless and futile work he is doing. Perhaps, even today, Sisyphus would carry this burden and endless-resultless chad somewhere.

Today's Sisyphus carries immeasurable data instead of stone on its shoulder, this data is plural and data is singular. It means facts, details or information. The whole universe is an uninterrupted flow of this data. It is invaluable and inevitable but it is also worrying if we do not have discretion. Modern man immerses himself in facts and loses himself. Our perceptions, ideas, details, etc. are a subtle burden. We are intoxicated with data to escape from our loneliness. It is said that the data in one man is stored in 30 trillion cells. The neurophysiologist says that man is leaving data at every moment. Our choices and decisions are also data based. Today data is personality and character. Data theft becomes a crime because it is an asset.
