Smoke detectors warning of fire

The primary sign of this gun is smoke. Smoke means gases from the burning object and fine particles of ash. Thus a fire damage prevention device is useful in many public places as well as in aircraft or trains.

There are two types of smoke detectors. One photoelectric and the other ionization. Both types of smoke detectors identify different types of smoke. In a photoelectric system, infrared rays flow through a lead tube. These rays pass through the end of a tube. At the other end of the tube is a lighted lamp.

There is no contact between this light and the infrared rays but when the smoke enters its particles are reflected and the infrared rays are caught. And the warning bell rings. A radioactive substance called emeridium is used in ionization smoke detectors.

This substance, which is about one thousandth of a gram, does a great job. These radioactive particles are flowing. This process is disrupted by the nitrogen in the smoke when it enters. And the power goes out and the alarm goes off. Thus the smoke detector warns in advance of the fire. This tool is useful in large factories.
