- Mist became Moti-Kumarpal Desai
The genocide of the fierce battle of Kling narrowed the distance of Emperor Ashoka. He was deeply moved by the devastation of the war. I kept thinking about what to do so that my grief would be lightened. The trauma subsides. The mind gets chained.
Emperor Ashoka's treasures were overflowing with wealth due to his victory in the battle of Kalinga. He started donating. He used to give alms to Brahmins on that day.
All the Brahmins of the town came to collect alms, but not a single poor Brahmin came. He needed a lot of money, but he was not ready to accept it.
Emperor Ashoka was surprised. What kind of human is this? All the Brahmins took alms, but why doesn't it come even though it is poor?
When Emperor Ashoka called the Brahmin and asked him this question, the poor Brahmin answered fearlessly,
'Emperor, where do you donate? If you donate, I will come and take it. '
Hearing this, Emperor Ashoka was not surprised. He said, 'Just think! So many Brahmins took alms and you don't even call it alms? '
The Brahmin said, 'A donation can be made if you have worked hard to get wealth. What you give is the property of the king, the treasure of the people. It doesn't matter if you give it or not. If you donate the money you have earned by sweating, then you are considered a true benefactor. '
Emperor Ashoka's eye was opened. He decided to earn money by working himself. He worked for fifteen days digging a canal and got fifteen gold seals.
Taking this gold seal, Emperor Ashoka went to a poor Brahmin.
The Brahmin was very happy and blessed him by accepting a Sonamhor as a donation.
This means that true charity is what a human being has tried to get. In general, it is seen in the society that a human being gets wealth from any means and then he gets fame by using that wealth through religion or service.
Wealth that has the scent of sweat mixed with it, is considered to be the only true donation. There is no point in accumulating wealth by exploiting someone and then donating that wealth. Just as the instrument must be clean, so must the instrument be clean.
